Joker grossed around 4.75-5 crore nett on its first day as per early estimates. The collections were low all over though the single screen circuits fared better comparatively.

The film will need to show around 30% growth on Saturday and Sunday to have any chance of a decent run at the box office. If the growth is not big on Saturday then theatrical business will not be going far.

The film is one of the lowest openers of Akshay Kumar in the last few years if we take Tasveer 8x10 out of the equation. The other low openers were Action Replay (2010) and Patiala House (2011) which opened to 2.75 crore nett and 4.25 crore respectively.

Joker failed to make much headway on Saturday as collections are likely to come in at the same range as Friday or a little lower. The multiplex business which was low on Friday improved only slightly at places when it really needed a big jump.

The Friday collections were in the 4.75 crore nett range and Saturday will be 4.50-4.75 crore nett giving it a two day total of 9.25-9.50 crore nett.

Sunday should show improvement but its not really going to make much difference to the final theatrical business of the film. The only saving grace for Joker is that its not the normal costly Akshay Kumar starrer.

2ND DAY BOX OFFICE COLLECTION OF JOKER | UPDATED

Joker on 2nd day saturday collected Rs 4.50 Crore as per early estimates as late night shows collection are still to be revealed.The total collection of Joker after 2nd day stands to Rs 9.30 Crore.

Film did little well on 2nd day then what we have predicted.This has happened due to the bulk booking of Joker in some cinemas which has made the film collect decent amount on it's 2nd day.But,overall the film has become a joke on social networking sites and media.

Joker did well in East Punjab,CI,CP and NCR but overall the film is a complete flop.

Joker has become a nightmare for distributors as they are losing around 50% of their money.The shows of the film were cancelled in some multiplexes as well.

As per our trade analyst bulk booking could help film fetch some good amount on 3rd day ie Sunday also but after that film will be a complete loss for theatre and multiplex owners.
