Farhan-Ritesh give Bittoo Boss a second chance
...in an industry where people rarely get another opportunity after a flop

His debut film Bittoo Boss didn't click at the boxoffice, but Pulkit Samrat's talent got him Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Fukrey and also got the makers to manage him.
"I consider myself very lucky to have got this offer. Farhan and Ritesh noticed my work and called me. Clearly they believe more in talent than numbers,"
says Pulkit excitedly.
He is almost unrecognisable from his Bittoo days. "This is a brand new look and yes it's very different from what I looked like before," he says.
The Delhi boy came to Maximum City with only one dream — of being an actor. "I thought of nothing else except this. I come from a total non-film background and when I first told my parents, they thought it was a passing phase. It was when I packed my bags to shift to Mumbai they thought, 'Gaya ladka haath se," he laughs.
For now, it's only Fukrey on his mind. "It basically means goodfor-nothings. It's about these guys who have big dreams but no money and how they go about doing stuff. It's all about friendship and male bonding. I have a different look in the film for which I have to lose a lot of weight."
His journey in the world of entertainment has been quite eventful. He started with a few commercials and then did the TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which he quit as he wasn't happy with his track. But luckily films happened and that too despite not having a godfather. "You just have to keep working hard. Every chance you get, you have to give it your all. You can't give anything less than your best because there are a thousand people standing in line just behind you. Yes, destiny plays a huge role but then again destiny can get you to the door but turning the knob, opening the door and stepping in is upto you. It's about how gracefully you step in, do you trip while doing so, how slowly you do it or how fast you manage," says Pulkit.
