Padukone replaced Kareena Kapoor in Bhansali's movie, but to begin with, the dates allotted to Bhansali for a major schedule early next year were actually required by Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express headlining Shah Rukh Khan.
Padukone's team requested Bhansali to postpone filming and he agreed. Now that portion of the shoot will take place in March-April.
Now these March-April dates were originally allotted to the Dharma-Balaji project. Since the male lead Emraan Hashmi, too, is heavily booked, it seemed like she would lose the film. But the filmmakers wanted to retain the fresh pairing and stepped in to work out a schedule suiting both Deeps and Emraan.
The Dharma-Balaji filming will start only after Deepika wraps Chennai Express and Ram Leela. She is currently filming for Ayaan Mukherjee's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with co-star and ex Ranbir Kapoor and Abbas Mustan's Race 2.
Deepika and Ranveer have been bonding majorly recently. The duo even caught a late night show of Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif's Ek Tha Tiger together on the day of its release.
A movie date with Ricky Behl himself? Consider us jealous.
