Where and with whom would you like to go for a holiday?
Currently, holidays are on everybody's minds. It's that time of the year when you want to take that much-needed break to recharge your batteries. But what's a holiday if there is no fun and excitement? On our part, we too added that zing to our question (albeit just for the sheer pleasure of allowing them some dreaming) and asked some of our celebs on their choice of a perfect holiday destination and with a person other than their spouse.

Anup Jalota (Singer) married to Medha
I would love to go to Nainital. It is a beautiful place. I was born there, too. I have a lot of memories attached to that place. If I were to go there with someone apart from my wife, it would definitely have to be my harmonium.
Samita Bangargi (Actress) married to actor Ashish Choudhary
It would have to be Europe. If I was to pick one place, Barcelona would definitely be the place to be. It is beautiful with a lot of beaches. If Ashish was not to accompany me, I would go with my bunch of girl friends with whom I normally travel a lot.
Apara Mehta (Television and Theatre Actress) married to actor Darshan Jariwala
I have hardly holidayed with my family because of my work commitments. My husband and daughter are always complaining. But if I were to go on a vacation, it would definitely be Europe. I would love to go to Paris. It is so mystically beautiful. My daughter would be the right person to accompany me on this vacation. She has studied a lot about places and she would be the best guide.
Shweta Kawaatra (Actress) married to actor Manav Gohil
I am dying to visit my sister who lives in Canada. It's been pending for sometime now. If my husband were not to accompany me, I would go with my mother. She would be ideal company. It would be like a reunion for my sister, my mother and me.
Tips when you are off on a ski vacation:
- The most important thing you must remember is - don't ski when it is too cold. Don't forget to put on your helmets. Consider buying a two-way "family radio set": These walkie-talkies can communicate up to two miles. Decide on a place where you can meet incase you get separated with your family.
- Don't give ski-poles to young children. They may not be able to manage them.
How to keep memories from a vacation:
- Click a lot of photographs. Let everybody click them. That way you can make sure everyone is photographed. Use a camcorder to capture all those fun filled moments. Elder kids can make a travel journal with all the details and convert it into a travel journal for future reference.
- Younger kids can collect postcards. Refrigerator magnets are also a good option.
How to enjoy a vacation with your spouse:
- Make sure you leave behind all your work and stress. While you are on vacation, make sure you do justice to it by having ample amount of fun. Go to some place that you have always dreamt of going. Avoid the same old destinations and explore new places. Splurge on a top-of-the-line hotel. The staff is friendlier and helpful; and they truly want you to have a good time.
- If you want to spend some quality time with your spouse, make sure you go to a place where there are no ringing phones, no screaming children and no distracting activities.
A good spa visit means:
- A courteous, professional, cleanly dressed and pleasant therapist. A treatment that has started on time. A massage therapist who is sensitive to the kind of touch you want in terms of pressure.
- Clean spa that follows good sanitation.
For all the adventure freaks:
- While river rafting, make sure you wear your helmets and life jackets. Follow the safety rules to enjoy your ride to the fullest. All heart patients should be careful while attempting risky sports and must avoid them as far as possible.
- Adventure sports are for everyone, even if you are overweight. Just take the right precautions and you will enjoy like any other person.
