Last year's catastrophe was a wake-up call for all Mumbaikars and this year people are really cautious about their movements. I have seen people trying to finish work and come home early. I am sure that BMC has worked hard this year. You have to understand that the percentage of workers in BMC and the population of Mumbai are not proportionate. Despite limited resources and technical support, I think they have done a good job.
Yesterday when it was raining, I was out with my family and we were supposed to stay out for long but had to change our plans.

I just love the rains, they come like a whiff of fresh air after the scorching summer. But last year was a wake up call for all those who had let complacency set in. Hopefully, disaster will not strike again. Yesterday, I was travelling but the traffic was traumatic and I had trouble reaching on time. Thanks to my iPod I kept myself entertained for a good part of the journey. We all are practically helpless when nature takes its own course. This year, I believe that BMC has taken active part in repairing the roads. I would request people to keep a check on their movement while it's raining. It's better to stay at a safe place like in the office, school or colleges, rather than walking down the streets in heavy rain.

I am shooting in Chennai and got to know from my parents that it was raining heavily. I hope this year everything goes fine. I don't even want to talk about last year's disaster, it was so scary. I am sure that this year BMC has worked hard on sewage and other problems related to monsoon.

I was quite lucky last year since I'd got home early. Hopefully, something like that won't repeat itself. I really haven't paid attention to what the BMC has been doing, I honestly have no idea. Actually I love the rains and I'm not preparing myself for them at all.

I love the rains. But last year 26/7 took a different shape altogether. I can't forget the pictures published the next day in all the newspapers. We were helpless. But this year, I have noticed that BMC workers are taking preventive measures to avoid a similar situation. Yesterday when the rains struck, I was at home. The rains work for me if I am snuggled in bed reading a book, but they are a complete no-no when I have to travel and shoot.
