Lightman died on the set Son of a Sardar

PUNJAB – A lightman died after being electrocuted on the film set of Ajay Devgan starrer Son of a Sardar, which had been shooting in Patiala.

Devgan visited the mortuary of Rajindra Hospital here to pay homage to the 33-year-old lightman, Machinder Revji Arvel, who had died accidentally due to electrocution. A board of forensic medicine experts of the hospital conducted the post mortem. The board confirmed the cause of death was electrocution.

The mortuary witnessed a huge crowd as people gathered there in sympathy with relatives of the deceased, including staff and other personalities of the film. It is perhaps for the first time in the film history of the state that a person had died due to accidental electrocution. The body was handed over to the relatives after post mortem through concerned police station
