This topic is on snubbing and on Kareena anyway, and I came onto this topic supporting why she was snubbed and shoud have at least been nominated. And so you know I am no stunch Kareena supporter and all know that, but liked her in BG and some other movies, whereas you came here because you can't appreciate her at all. Was Karishma the lead you be singing another tune. 😉😆

@Henna, me stating my view as nothing to do with liking Salman, because when I came to this topic it was on Kareena not him. But, I do stick to the view that Salman was as worthy as SRK on getting a nomination esp when he had the highest grossing movies.

My opinion in general:

Plus, I never make it a secret that I like Salman alot along with Akshay and Aamir. I also like Ranveer, Emraan, Ajay (acting only), Imran, and some others. 😉😆 And btw I was outraged some years when Emraan lost out. And in murder 2 he was amazing.👏👏and the villian in murder 2 was the best acting I have seen (but he small potaotoes) Anyway, am digressing but I have always maintaned these awards are a joke.

Aamir, Ajay, Salman, Emraan, Kareena, etc have said so despite them winning. Ajay blatenly said you go you normally get. Sometimes they change who should get, and Aamir exposed this and others too. 😉😊 Thats why Aamir stopped going and though he won Raja Hindustani he was not present and now does not care so since he snubbed them they don't bother gving him an award, and please don't tell me hes not worthy.

Kat was good in MBKD and crap in ZNMDB.
Kareena had nothing to do in the first half of Bodyguard. In fact, I could not believe she signed the film in the first place when I was watching it in the cinema. But the second half I realised why she signed it. In those last few scenes, she outshone everything done by Katrina + Deepika + Asin + Sonam done in entire 2011.

And then there's Ra.One. Yes, the thing everyone remembers is her in the red saree shaking her Chammak Challos at us. But her role wasn't that of a wallpaper. Recall the scenes following her husband's death. They were acted beautifully. Also the scene when she becomes posessed required a seasoned actress' prowess, and she certainly pulled it off.

Throughout these 2 "masala flicks" she done her job 100%. You might have to look closely, but she really brought the goods, and they wouldn't be the same without her. Katrina wouldn't have been able to do Ra.One (minus the item tit shaker).

Okay now, I'm not delusional. I know Kareena only signed these films because she's worried about scoring Box Office hits as opposed to doing groundbreaking work like say Vidya or Mahie or Kalki. And with this I am hugely disappointed in her. But I hope now that she's had some super duper successes behind her, she will return to some great roles that we saw in Chameli, Dev, Jab We Met.

Regarding the snubs. I don't know why this happened. And I'm not too upset about it because I think Vidya, Priyanka, Mahie, Kalki were the outstanding performers of 2011. But the fact they nominated Katrina for her cutesy act is just equally disappoointing.

What to do? Sit back and eat pizza :)
