NO Valentine for Vivek
From Filmistan to Wai, Oberoi works non-stop

While a better part of the world spent time indulging themselves on Valentine's Day, actor Vivek Oberoi chose to do otherwise. The actor plunged headlong into work and did so for 24-hours non-stop on Valentine's Day, driving home the point that he was not missing his former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai.
The Vivek Oberoi-Aishwarya Rai love story has been on a roller coaster ride from the start to finish. The relationship having ended and the air being rife with speculation of Rai's alleged link-up with Abhishek Bachchan, one would have expected Oberoi to play the injured party.
"I am just going to concentrate on my work," says Oberoi who created a record of sorts working for hours on end, proving that life is limping back to normalcy for the actor.
Oberoi shot from the early hours on Valentine's Day for Naksha with Sunny Deol and worked till 7 p.m at Filmistan Studios. "We wanted Vivek for his patch- work for which he had to stay an hour extra. I am impressed with the kind of hard work and dedication he has put in this film," says debutant director Sachin Bajaj. Even action-director Alen Amin was very happy with Vivek's fitness and his toned body. "It feels good to be fit," Vivek adds.
After completing the shoot at Filmistan, Oberoi was supposed to leave for Vishal Bharadwaj's film Omkara in Wai for a 40-day schedule, but he couldn't join the unit because he had to complete the climax sequence for Naksha. "We thought that we would be able to finish the shoot, but my action director Alen Amin required one more day to shoot the climax, so we had to request our stars to spend an extra day for the film," says director Bajaj.
This extended shoot not only inconvenienced his film dates but his other commitments too. Oberoi was unable to attend the charity lunch in Chennai for an organisation called Banyan yesterday. "Every year he does a considerable amount of charity work," informs a unit member of Naksha.
Even if he is running late for his Omkara shoot, Oberoi is excited about his future films. "I am looking forward to all my forthcoming films in the coming year," he says.
