I'm not trying to create havoc here but I was going through some of the old threads and noticed how so many of our forum members have been banned. Now I know most will agree that said members had the most insightful, witty comments on IF. Off the top of my head: Dexterphile, Zeenab, Godsmacked, Meena1, etc. were the reasons I even frequented this site. On a forum it is the members who make the heart and soul of the site. Get rid of all the interesting members and what do we have? --a site full of sexually-frustrated pre-teens swooning over shirtless actors.
No seriously, I had an account on IF for a while but it wasn't till I discovered the BW section that I truly started participating and looked forward to visiting here. If this power-hungry spree of banning continues, a good chunk of the members, including me, will say Sayonara. I might not have majored in business, but isn't loss of viewers a loss of a website (advertising and all) With India forum getting agressive with their ads (pop-ups everytime you sign it), I don't see an appeal unless we have a certain freedom to express ourselves. Why is this site acting like Big brother with it's censoring and all? Like they're trying to conserve the innocence of its members 😆 Seriously? This is the internet we're talking about, if they don't get it from here they'll get it somewhere else. I'm not saying to let all form of vulgarity but at the very least let members be. We have an all time high of spammers who still haven't gotten banned, yet genuine opinions/insight gets the shaft?
