Friends of Viveik Oberoi are upset over the end of his relationship with long-time girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, and her alleged link-up with Abhishek Bachchan.

"Everything was hunky-dory a month ago": "It was only in November that I saw Aishwarya at Viveik's home, all lovey-dovey and being the perfect girlfriend as always," says a source. "And to imagine that all this while she might have been seeing Abhishek!
In fact, even during the premiere of 'Home Delivery', she was in constant touch with Viveik. Two days after 'Home Delivery' released and flopped, she stopped communicating with him. But Viveik still chose to trust her and was looking forward to New Year's Eve as she had promised that she would celebrate it with him."
"I don't owe you an explanation!": "Just a day before New Year's Eve, when he again heard rumours about Ash, he confronted her. But all he got from Ash was a SMS that said, 'I don't owe you an explanation!'
This shattered Viveik totally. When Salman Khan's friends came to know about this, they said to him, 'Now you know how Salmanbhai felt when the same thing happened to him. He wasn't aware that you were a part of her life until that 'press conference' episode."
"He always took up for her": "Do you know he took pangas with many Bollywood biggies because of her!" exclaims a close friend. Why does she want to break-up with him ? Viveik has been a good boyfriend. He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, has been faithful and loyal to her."

Friends rally around Viveik: According to sources, people in the industry who loved to hate Viveik are now rallying around the actor. We hear that Ajay Devgan and Saif Ali Khan have already called him up.
"There are feelers coming from Salman's camp too, so it won't be a surprise if Viveik and Salman set up a meeting soon."
But all's not lost for Viveik. The day Ash split with him (Dec 30) proved lucky as not only did Mani Ratnam offer him a role in his next film but he also bagged a role in Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Othello' the same day.
If sources are to be believed then Viveik is taking the setback in his life in a stoic manner. The actor is currently shooting for Feroze Nadiadwala's 'Fool and Final'.
