^ haha eraser lol. to whoever's confused, i posted that in the 'is salman reduntant' thread because for some reason him and dev patel were being pitted against each other and for reasons i do not understand dev patel was considered better and more popular because of oscar recogonition. How shallow and ignorant.

Dev Patel got international recognition because he was in an english film it was not even Indian. So already the comparision between the two actors are invalid. Danny Boyle grabbed the kid out of SKINS a uk tv series and felt he fit the part of a bombay boy with a troubled past. He did great, but his success in slumdog is in no way suddenly grounds to shit on salman khan. I don't even understand how that makes sense.

its like me insulting SRK by going 'oh yeah have you guys heard of christian bale? he's so much better he won an oscar this year. have you guys HEARD?"

He and freida are indeed more popular than salman khan worldwide.

you clearly missed the point of my rant. The whole point of their popularity is in regards to them being a part of an international film not a bollywood one. An engish one at that. a film that could be marketed to several english speakers AND indian speakers.

And secondly, dev patels success after slumdog has been very shortlived. He is pretty much a joke in film circles and is called 'the one hit wonder'.

Frieda though is another story, she has gone on to become a beauty icon and continues to get film offers

Radsuinda - why or how can we compare actors from 2 different industries? Comparing Salman and Dev is like comparing apples and oranges, not even. Maybe apples and golf balls. Point is, they can't be compared.
