We're told that people are booking tickets in groups of 5 - 10 to watch the movie instead of twos, which is a great trend."

Hangover 2 & Kung Fu Panda 2: Hollywood Trumps Bollywood Again!
The Hangover Part II Poster
It has happened once again. Hollywood films have performed better than Bollywood films on yet another opening Friday. May 27, 2011, saw the Hollywood films, The Hangover Part II andKung Fu Panda 2, take a much better opening than Bollywood releases of the week. Of course, the only notable Bollywood release of the week was the relatively small star cast Kucch Luv Jaisaa, which opened to poor houses.
Hangover Part II Opening Report
On the other hand, Warner Bros. Pictures' 'The Hangover Part II', which released worldwide on May 27th, opened well in theatres across India. The film had also attracted a good number of footfalls for its paid previews that were held on Thursday night. While Thursday's opening was reported to be almost 100 percent in select theatres in the metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad, occupancy was also reported to be good elsewhere. Point to be noted is that there were hardly any press ads of the The Hangover sequel through the week as the CBFC issued a censor certificate to the film only on Wednesday (May 25) evening. Morning and noon shows of the film, even in smaller towns like Indore, Bhopal and Jaipur, were impressive. Clearly, people seemed to be having a hangover of 'The Hangover'.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Opening Report
Likewise, 'Kung Fu Panda 2', which released on Thursday, May 26th, reported very good collections everywhere on the opening day and also on Friday. At Pune's E-Square multiplex, collections were almost 100 percent for the animation sequel on Thursday. In fact, extra shows had to be conducted to accommodate the surging crowds on the opening day. Friday was no different at this multiplex.
