It never happened at least for Dev Anand's films. It was an opening show of the film Prime Minister at Fame (Hiland Park) multiplex in Kolkata, and no one turned up except one viewer to see the movie.
The movie is not at all doing business and there was no other option left to the multiplexes but to drop this movie from the weekly programming. According to vice president Prashant Srivastav they have to put in extra shows of the two movies which are doing the best, Bluffmaster and Ek Ajnabee.
This scene is everywhere in Calcutta, where all the multiplexes are no more interested in running the movie.
The Dev Anand magic is surely dissipating.
