One of my fav series in tv is Air Crash investigation and have seen every episode of the last 5 series.

2 air crashes in recent history have happened due to mobile being operational. The mobile signal interferes with the communication signals of the pilot and also a number of systems.

In one of the air crashes it interfered with the attitude reader so the pilots were reading wrong attitude information which led to the crash.

Its as dangerous as drunk driving and remember you are just not putting yourself at risk but the lives of over 250 passengers at risk.

So my opinion PC has acted like a prat and needs a tight slap.

definitely... i agree with you...

and ummm, making videos and taking pictures usually does not interfere with the frequency, as far as i know... it's making calls and texting or being on the internet, that usually interferes with the frequency... i don't know what kinda phone the person has, but considering he seems aware of the dangers, i doubt he'd be using his phone blatantly putting lives at risk... 😛😛😛

it's possible he might be drunk and said some rude things to priyanka... but she's definitely at fault here... most stars do think they are above the law... and rules do not apply to them... it's quite clear the argument was over her being on the phone...

i do think she said why should i care, when he told her about dilip.... but i don't think she'd use rude words for him... the guy's story does seem exaggerated a bit, but i don't think he's completely at fault....

Why bother using the phone in the first place to make a call regardless, she should've made the call whilst in the airport before boarding unless it was something seriously drastic [i.e somebody's death].

It was found that cell phone signals, specifically those in the 800-900 MHz range, did intefere with unshielded cockpit instrumentation. Because older aircraft with unshielded wiring can be affected, and because of the possible problems that may arise by having many airborne cell phones "seeing" multiple cell phone towers, the FCC (via enforcement through the FAA) still deems it best to err on the safe side and prohibit the use of cell phones while airborne.

Basically, its to err on the side of caution so that cell phone waves do not interfere with the radio waves of the aircraft, especially in that stated frequency. The "Airplane Mode" on cell phones probably functions just by not emitting those specific signals. (I've never tried it though since I usually just shut it off when the flight attendant says so)

Planes, though, are in the process of creating a separate wireless network(s) that will allow use of cell phones and laptops......it's very recent so I don't know how effective this new technology is😕

priyanka should have JUST switched off her phone. she is a frequent traveller who goes to many places for many reasons. there is JUST no excuse for PC to have been in the phone on an aircraft.

some stars, including PC start hawa mein udding (literally here) because they are stars. imo, recent behavior of PC proves her bat Sh*t crazy and she needs a dose of reality and that she isnt invincible.

even though, the doctor was drunk and misbehaved with her.. putting him in the wrong, doesnt make her right.

she was WRONG. apologize and move the fricking ON. i am tired of her constant dukhyari state.

I feel the point the guy (and some others here) was [are] making is moot in this case since the Emirates airline (Fly Emirates) is one of the few airlines to allow the use of mobile phones. AFAIK, they have a special aeromobile service. The concerns regarding using mobiles in airplanes are valid and I agree that people should quit whining and turn the damn cellphone off; however, PC isn't in the wrong here if she is using a service the airline provides.
