This is why I am completely against a remake of anything, especially classics. They ruined such a good song. Not happy with the first look at all and whose voice is that in the beginning? It's so weird. 😳

anushka manchanda has a kickass voice....extremely spunky and sexy...i have no probs with her singing aswell...but this song and video is just such a put off! 🤢

What's with the lyrics? What a horrible song.

if anything, I'll give it to some credit to Deepika for her expressions and dancing. but the song is by no means catchy at all.

the song's sooooo bad. It doesn't even sound like a masala-like item song =/ Neither does the film look any good.

Deepika Padukone Shows Off Sexy Moves in 'Dum Maaro Dum' Teaser

You have already seen Deepika Padukone's sexy look in Dum Maaro Dum and now it's time to catch a glance of her hot item number "Mit Jaaye Gham." Abhishek Bachchan stars as Dhilipp Mehta, a bold narcotics police officer, Bipasha Basu as Reva and Prateik Babbar as Manav. In supporting roles, Kangana Ranaut plays Atreya D'Costa, Aditya Pancholi portrays Rajiv Mahal, Monty Munford plays Alexei and Mariah Gomes Crisanna Wilton.

Telugu superstar Rana Daggubati and Govind Namdeo will make an appearance, as will Deepika who is set to shake her hips to the title song "Dum Maaro Dum," Pritam's remake of Zeenat Aman's original "Hare Rama Hare Krishna." Deepika was however shocked to hear the new lyrics and decided they went against her image. But the Bollywood belle and director Rohan Sippy managed to agree in the end and Dips will not lip-sync any lyrics she finds inappropriate.

"The song is a classic and everything about it is unique. These days everyone is doing promotional songs. We want to be different and do something unique. Legendary names are involved with the song and we don't want to tarnish their reputation by doing a bad job. We want to do complete justice to the song and live up to the expectations of the earlier song," Rohan Sippy told reporters. Like Steven Soderbergh's Oscar winning movie Traffic with Benicio Del Toro dealt with drug trafficking between the U.S. and Mexico, Dum Maaro Dum follows the drug mafia in Goa.

The movie is described as an edgy and dramatic thriller. "The film is shaping up very well and the audiences should get ready to enjoy a gripping, moving film with great visual appeal coming their way," Ramesh Sippy told DNAI. Deepika Padukone's very close friend is getting married this week in Thailand and Deepika changed all her plans for the week to attend the wedding. It is speculated that she may not be present in Nagpur on March 12 for the promotional event of her film Dum Maro Dum. The cast and crew of Dum Maro Dum will present a special song featuring Deepika during the break time of the Cricket World Cup match played in Nagpur on March 12 between Indian and South Africa.

It is also said that Deepika hanged the schedule of her film Aarakshan and shot her parts before schedule so she could travel to Thailand.

A source close to Deepika says, "Deepika was very excited to attend the launch of Dum Maro Dum song launch as it is her song, and she has got rave feedback from her fans for her look in the song. Unfortunately, it looks difficult as of now that Deepika will be able to attend the launch, as she will be in Thailand."

Rohan Sippy says, "We would have loved to have Deepika on 12th, as the song is picturised on her and she looks sizzling in the song, her fans would have been delighted to see her."

wait......except for a few lines from the original song there is nothing common.the remainin part of lyrics are totally different.

and deepika's just not sensuous.she cant do sexy convincingly.god knows am not hatin on her but this is just not her thing.
