Dabangg was so hyped and such a big hit, it was obvious that Sonakshi would will all the awards. She hardly had a few lines in Dabangg but she did look pretty and had great screen presence, IMO. I do think in terms of performance Amrita Puri was better. But she wasn't hyped enough and her film wasn't a BIG hit.

iuts coz they told her to put on weight.. they could just swap the girls.. sonakshi for veer and zarine for danbangg.. then she didnt need to put on weight..

Amrita puri's character did not make much of an impact on me in Aisha.. she had as much screen space as Sonam.. but her character seemed forgettable to me.. i think she massively underplayed her character.. she was supposed to be vivacious and naive at the same time.. but her acting didn't stay in my mind... Cyrus sahukar.. was awesome in aisha.. i thoughtt that he almost played the male version of amrita puri's character.. silly.. naive.. bhola bhaala.. but his acting stayed in my mind.. i know i am comparing a male and female character.. but still.. his acting stood out more for me.. in all the other characters in aisha.. people don't credit sonakshi for dabang's success.. but i think she was impactful.. in whatever little screen time she had..

well i like sonakshi...so glad she's getting awards.
amrita puri's pretty talented too...& zarine khan went unnoticed really quickly.

Amirta Puri deserved all the awards. She acted better than Sonaski. I like Sonaski too...but I feel Amirta Puri showed more talent in Aisha. But since Aisha was not a huge hit, they ignored Amirta Puri...Sigh! Am glad she won best supporting actress in one of the awards.

Have you guys seen filmfare and when PZ was presenting best new comer...she didn't even open up the envelope. She was like we know who won...it's Sonaski. I was shocked because that was rude of PZ. She was so unexcited about it! Almost as if she was saying she didn't deserve it!

lol preity looked so cute and sweet when she announced sonakshi...she didn't even open the envelop to know it. But I felt that dabangg was a one man show all the way and it was salman

no PZ has done it earlier too she opens it bakcstage.. and then comes and open it infront everyone

i remember the last time i think it was SRK who got the saward where her co partner who came told her u already saw the winner.. so she shouted the name out
