koolchick: my prof really liked me in a platonic manner because well I look like a friggin 15 yr old and I worked my ass off in that class (to impress him of course 😆) so he was very nice with me. but he had a hot girlfriend and a son so I stood no chance and nothing really happened.

You should see the notes I took in his class, they are all gibberish and make no sense because all I did was stare at him. 😆

Anjali, yeah whats up with these 40 yr old playing students? I mean if you;re playing a mature student, its a different thing but man Amir Kahn in 3I 😆 Watch out for SRK in Two States now, hes playing a 20yrold student 😆

All i want to get across is that if Bolywood can have kissing and bold scenes, and and sensual scenes, then the audience should accept older actress with young actors and also if their is a movie of a love story between a older woman and younger man etc

I hope we see one of those movies made etc

Didn't SRK already play a student in Main Hoon Na? I guess that doesn't count because in that movie, he was a soldier protecting a girl student and pretended to be a student

I'm sorry, but it looked like such a bro-sis thing.
Blah.

I doubt anyone would remember this one.. but Rekha did a film "Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao".. and in one of the songs, she was romancing none other than.. Arshad Warsi.

& arghh, Vinod & Madhuri made me sick.. I can't remember what film it was, but they made out. Double blah.

Here's one from the 70s/80s.
Raaj Kumar & Hema Malini.
In fact Hema did a lot of films with older men - Dev Anand, all three Kapoor brothers (Raj, Shammi & Shashi).

^^ Rani and Shahid are only 3 yrs apart. It's just that we have been conditioned to accept younger looking women with older men and people are often not pleased when they see older women and younger men together, even if they are 2 or 3 yrs apart.

It's not even that though.
She just looks older than him (IMO), and I guess I'm used to seeing her with older actors - SRK, Aamir, Salman, etc.

I don't mind older women, younger men - Tabu & Kunal Kapoor. There's a seven yr diff b/w them, but I didn't see the age difference. (Movie was Meenaxi btw.)

The younger actress with with the older actor has basically been the norm since Indian cinema has started I feel...it's just now that we actually see it....b/c of thanks to media and whatnot

I don't think this is even confined in Bollywood

Globally throughout the centuries, it was considered absolutely normal for middle-aged men or older to marry young girls (younger than 18😕). Even in the west, if a woman is dating a man younger than her, then she is a "cougar".

It's going to take a long time before acceptance of older women-younger men can happen, including those with only a 5 year age difference
