Seems like SLB is insipred by several movies - Prestige for the Magician bit yes but I think the story IMO is more a mish mash of Whose life is it anyway and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Loved the music and the picturization tho beautiful! Did SLB compose the music for this film all by himself ?

This trailer looks fantastic, im really hopeing the movie lives up to it. The lighting, the background music and the way the shots are taken are all beautiful. It definitley does have a bit of the prestige or the illusionist feel to it, but its really stupid when people say its a copy if its about a magician. If you really go back in hollywood and look through films about men dabbling with magic as a career all of them have a simular feel, one which this movie from what i see in the trailer also seems to posses. A very enchantingly dark aura, mixed with a bit of a 'glam'.

Either way looking very good, i really hope this movie isnt a dissapointing flop.

Like everyone said the part of Hritik being a magician and the setting in which he performs his shows has a very "Prestige" and "Illusionist" feel to it. But, the problem is that "Prestige" was set in 20th century and Guzaarish is a present day movie, SLB could have given a different feel to the whole aspect of Hritik being a magician. That is one of the major problems in SLB movies they lose track of the setting- time, place and everything and seem very impractical and fairytailsh. Actually they come across has very half baked and you have no clue as to where his characters are and in what century they are living in. He often seems to lose track of reality in in flicks.. And i think he takes a lot of inspiration from western movies and culture and veils it and passes it off as "anglo-indian". I thought he succeded in showing the anglo-indian culture of people of goa in khamoshi.. but he did screw up in saawariya.. where it was hard to tell which place the movie was setted in. I have read some people saying the its also inspried from the left foot.. hmm.. Anyways SLB has seemed to have toned down on his statues and melodramatic sets.. but I still don't get the goa feel in the movie, he still has gotten carried away.. and turned it a bit too unreastic.. Anyways if he succeeds in showing the emotions and issue of euphanasia in the right way then the movie might work..

I found the trailer alot less impactful than I thought it would be but still it did intrigue me and I was just too happy seeing Hrithik and Aishwarya together again, they looked great.
Can't wait for further looks, hopefully they'll get better.
