Certainly the upcoming Eid release, DABANGG owes a lot of its huge buzz and hype to one number, "Munni Badnam Hui", composed by Lalit Pandit (of Jatin-Lalit fame). The song, as we had already predicted, is scorching the charts and is rocking India, especially the hinterland.

However, we are not here to tell you what you already know but to give you an insight into the two main voices behind the super-hit number, Aishwarya Nigam and Mamta Sharma.

As far as the male singer Aishwarya Nigam is concerned, he is a known name as he is the winner of television music talent hunt, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and has sung a few numbers earlier too, the most prominent amongst them being "O Sikander" for Madhur Bhandarkar's CORPORATE. Aishwarya Nigam belongs to Muzaffarpur, the birthplace of Lord Mahavira (Vaishali-Muzaffarpur) and land of luscious Leechees.

For the other singer Mamta this is her debut song in Hindi. Mamta is from Gwalior, the land of Maharajas, the Scindia dynasty and forts and is a self trained singer who can sing in eleven languages.

As can be gauged, both the singers, Aishwarya and Mamta are relatively unknown and from places that are far off (literally) from Bollywood, but have made it via their hard work and talent and here is hoping that like them other singers with small beginings too get the opportunity to make a mark in Bollywood .
