Imran Khan plays it cautious despite pipping Ranbir Kapoor's last solo hit's first-day collections to the post by a slender margin

Imran Khan now has a reason to smile wide. His film I Hate Luv Storys' box-office collections are ringing in the moolah.
Opening day saw the Rs 18 crore film net almost Rs 7 crore nationwide while on Saturday the pickings rose to Rs 7.5 crore (net figures).



Says Imran, "It still has to sink in yet. Maybe by Wednesday, it will. I am an extremely cautious person. I would prefer to wait before plunging into celebration mode."
"The movie opened very well on the first day and it did even better on Saturday. Now we are waiting for Sunday's collections and hope that the good run continues this week."

And for those who follow comparisons, Imran's rival Ranbir Kapoor's solo-hero romantic flick Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani had netted Rs 6.25 crore on the first day -- the figures speak for themselves.
"I don't know why people have to compare. What really matters is that you do your best, the film is successful and you are appreciated. This helps your next project," muses Imran.

After his debut in Jaane Tu for which he received accolades came his next flick Kidnap that proved to be a dud. But with I Hate Luv Storys, Aamir Khan's nephew is again in the reckoning. "Yes, it is a great feeling to be back."

The star has not planned any celebration as yet. "I am taking off to South Africa for the FIFA finals. That will be my time as well as a getaway. People may have celebration bashes but I prefer to do it in my own quiet way with those close to me."
Imran resumes shooting for his next flick Break Ke Baad later in the month.

Yesterday Aamir Khan tweeted: 'Congratulations nephew. I believe your film is doing very well. Got lucky, huh?

New ad for cola
Along his box-office success, Imran Khan is also shooting for a new commercial for the cola he endorses. The actor shoots for the ad on Tuesday and Wednesday. The earlier ad featured him with Dev D actress Kalki Koechlin.
