When it happens, remember you learned about it first from us! Bollywood is abuzz with the rumour that Karan Johar is considering teaming up his favourite heroine with his production house's current blue-eyed boy for a future project.
Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan... it doesn't get hotter than this, and though the film that will not be directed by KJo himself is still in the whisper stage — it has managed to get the trade excited. Simply because this good-looking superstar couple have the ability to give the audience the adrenaline rush. Sources close to the actors are mum. But an insider reveals that KJo's film is likely to be a fun caper — something on the lines of the Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher What Happened in Vegas One Night variety.
A trade source, admitting that Bollywood is busy trying out a hundred different permutations and combinations in desperation to turn proposals into projects, said, "Today you don't need scripts to make a film. You need a hotline to a superstar. Three quarters of Bollywood is sitting home twiddling their thumbs because they have scripts but no star is willing to work with them. The Bollywood top brass is either making films for themselves or their trusted lieutenants. Filmmakers (especially the bigger ones) insist that they only cast after the script is finalised — that's a whole load of 'bull' because very many times reputed filmmakers make combinations in their heads and then go looking for a suitable script."
