'Sarhad Paar' with 'Kalyug'
By Taran Adarsh, November 23, 2005 - 22:38 IST
The strategy of introducing the promo of a forthcoming film along with a new release isn't new anymore. The trend has caught on in a big way, with dream merchants wanting to showcase their forthcoming film along with a new release, thereby kick-starting the promotional campaign.

Nimbus Motion Pictures, who have entered the film production arena with SARHAD PAAR [now slated for Thursday, January 26, 2006 release] and have recently started their distribution activities with KALYUG [by acquiring its Mumbai territory rights], have decided to launch the promotions of SARHAD PAAR with KALYUG.

Says Viveck Vaswani, Group Consultant of Nimbus Motion Pictures, "We will not only unveil the theatrical trailer of SARHAD PAAR with KALYUG, but also put up posters and cutouts of the film at every multiplex/single screen where KALYUG releases."

That's not all, for Vaswani says that Nimbus is getting headlong into film production. "We plan to produce multiple films annually, beginning 2006. In fact, we're in the process of negotiating with a number of directors to make films for us. These include Anant Mahadevan, Aaditya Datt, debutante Nishant Goyal [he has a warm and funny script] in the first phase," he informs me.

Sarhad par is an older film, hope it doesn't look dated, at least it's more of a "family" film (compared to Kalyug)
