Shahid Kapoor is excited about his forthcoming film Kaminey and his first ever double role. Apart from that the actor is in news for his alleged relationship with Priyanka Chopra. Shahid speaks to Indiatimes movies about his controversial link-ups.
Why have you stopped doing films with Amrita Rao?
She is one of my favorite actresses. I would definitely love to do a film with her but nothing has been offered. It's the director's prerogative. Maybe if something comes up we will definitely do it together.
What do you think of Priyanka as an actress?
She is very creative in terms of execution as an actor. It was challenging for her because I am doing a double role in the film and the focus is on me. She is also playing a Marathi character which she has never done before. The experience of working with Priyanka has been very exhilarating. She is a very positive girl.
So are you single now or dating Priyanka Chopra?
I have been single since the last two years. I am enjoying this phase of my life now. I have met a lot of pretty girls in my life but if there is something more substantial and feel there is someone in my life you will come to know eventually.
You always had a sweet boy image do you think Kaminey will make you an action hero?
I never tried to make any image but I think people loved my love stories. I am excited about Kaminey at the same time there's anticipation in me about the audience's reaction. I don't like Daal Chaawal everyday; I get bored similarly people don't expect same things from me.
You have two films with Yash Raj Productions. Dil Bole Hadippa and their next venture opposite Anushka Sharma, which will be directed by Parmeet Sethi.
There has been a positive interaction with Yash Raj. I hope I do many more films with them in the future.
Forthcoming films?
Dil Bole Hadippa with Rani, Yahoo with Genelia and Pathshala is also ready for release. I don't have big role in Pathshala . It's just a 30 minute role. Then of course, I will start working on my dad's film at the end of the year. All are important films and the pressure is there.
