Aamirs 3 Idiots And Hrithik-Barbaras Kites May Release Next Year!

Thanks to the two 'dry' months (without releases) and other reasons, the three big films, which were scheduled to hit the screens this year, have all been postponed. Karan Johar had, even before leaving for the USA for the current shooting schedule of his 'My Name Is Khan', announced that the film would be released next year instead of December this year.

The other two films which have reportedly been moved ahead are Rakesh Roshan's 'Kites' and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's '3 Idiots'.

At the meeting of the core committee of producers and distributors, held on 19th June, Mukesh Bhatt is reported to have announced that both, Rakesh Roshan and Vinod Chopra, had conveyed to him their plans to postpone the release of their films to 2010.

As it is, the year 2009 so far has been extremely dull for the box-office. Imagine what it will be like, now that these three big films are not likely to hit the screens in the second half.

ill tell ya what it means, it means shahids getting the best actor award and Priyanka is gonna get the best actresss award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and that also means, shahid and priyanka will be attending function together and posing for pics together, atleast for magazines!

Dont forget Kareena in Qurbaan Enycedoll.

And for best actor Saif in Love Aaj Kal as sardaar while playing a terrorist in Qurbaan will not be easy to defeat.

But for that to happen, Qurbaan needs to release this year. 3 Idiots is postponed it seems, but I'm counting my lucky stars to have Qurbaan releasing this year.

lol desigrl, sorry but i dont think im interested in qurbaan, love aaj kaal seems like a good movie, so yeah im looking forward to it, but i wouldnt bet on saif receiving an award for it, doesnt seem anything out of the ordinary, as for qurbaan that depends on my anticipation level at that time cuz New york seems to have a similar plot, and if im not mistaken there are other movies releasing with the whole terrorist thing going on, so i duno...but kareena for best actress for that movie, yeah that is possible if it releases this year.

The reasons why Qurbaan stands a great chance:

The man behind the screenplay/script of Rang De Basanti is behind Qurbaan, NOT Karan JOhar, so REnsil has a better grasp of the topic.

New York seems pretty ripped off Khuda Ke liye, wtih the whole guy being FRAMED as a terrorist, while in Qurbaan, saif IS a terrorist.

And knowing saif, the guy plays those kinda gray characters really well. Remember Ek Haseena Thi and Langda Tyagi?

In Love Aaj Kal, his act as the sardaar will be really appreciated inshalallah, lol.

He doenst just play those roles, he becomes the characters. Changes his voice, accent, mannerism.

I have more confidence in Saif than I have in Kareena. ANd Kareena has it easier if Qurbaan releases since Aish and Kajol's movies have been shifted till next year.

Ofcourse...all this IF Qurbaan releases this year.

I will try buckets of tears if it doesnt.

A) Coz I've been waiting for it FOREVER

B) Coz the main reason MNIK was shifted back was to avoid a clash with Qurbaan since both movies are Karan's productions.

hrithik wasn't going to win a best actor award for kites. it doesn't even look like he'll act in that film.

aamir could get it for 3 idiots but he never attends awards so he's basically out.

saif could have his chance with qurbaan. i hope priyanka wins again for what's your rashee or for her role in kaminey.

well, you have ur reasons and i suppose i have my opinions, im still bettin on shahid for the best actor, with kites out of the way and 3 idiots, no way anyone else can stand a chance as of now. i dont see it happening, but i thnk ill be equally happy if i am proven wrong and saif does win best actor, then i suppose i can join u in ur party to celebrate =)

that was my reason for mentioning priyanka as a contendor for the best actress, everyone is saying that its a real tough role, 12 characters shes essaying!, and it has one of the best directors! so i would say her chances are greater than kareena as of now.

but i dont understand why everything has to boil down to shahid priyanka and saif and kareena, why cant we all just appreciate them for their talents because they are all very talented' amongst the best we have right now in the industry

Coz honeslty Enycedoll, those four are the only ones who have a shot for those awards right now. ALl biggies have been shifted.

In actors, SRk, Aamir and Hrithik are out.

IN actresses, AIsh adn Kajol are out coz their movies have also shifted till next year.

That leaves only those four with strong roles.

Well tat is IF Qurbaan releases.

Just my luck. THe one movie htat I have been awaited for since the start of freakin 2008 might get shifted to next year thanks to this dumb strike!

To hell wiht Kambakkht Ishq and Main AUr Mrs Khanna. Those roles wotn do Anything for kareena. I woudl trade ALL OF KAREENA's movies this year just to have Qurbaan release.
