‘Rang De Basanti’ sold for record prices

RANG DE BASANTI, the upcoming big project starring Aamir Khan, has fetched record prices for some of the territories that have been sold.

The distribution rights for Delhi-U.P./East Punjab have been sold for Rs. 3.5 crores, West Bengal/Rajasthan for Rs. 1.40 crores, Tamil Nadu/Kerala for Rs. 50 lakhs and Mysore/Karnataka for Rs. 50 lakhs.

RANG DE BASANTI is one of the eagerly awaited films of the season as Aamir Khan makes his return to a contemporary and youthful film after a gap of almost five years [after DIL CHAHTA HAI].

The film, directed by Rakeysh Mehra and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, is slated for release in January 2006.
