Does anyone here know much about the 1993 movie Kshatriya?

It had a big star cast that featured the likes of Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Dutt, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Vinod Khanna, Rakhi, Raveena Tandon etc - and it was also last film of Divya Bharti.

Was it a sucess? Any gossip from while it was being made since it had such a big starcast? Anyway may main question was if this was to be remade now, who would you pick to fit all the roles in the movie?

I don't know anything about this film at all. I could imagine someone like Sallu playing either Sanjay Dutt or Rahul Khanna playing his dad's role, lol. Maybe for Rakhi someone like Rani perhaps. Then again I don't know much at all.

That was my casting before I pulled out this info about this film.

The film is about two warring royal families in Rajasthan, India called the Mirtagarh and the Surjangarh. The Mirtagarh family's Maharaja Bhavani Singh (Sunil Dutt) is killed by the Surjangarh family's Maharaja Prithvi Singh (Dharmendra) which causes a bloody feud between the two families spreading over two generations. Raja Jaswant Singh (Vinod Khanna) returns from England shocked at the extent the war has gone on between the two families. He is too however fated to continue this bloody family tradition by fighting Maharaja Prithvi Singh. Years later the sons of Maharaja Bhavani and Maharaja Prithvi respectively Vikram (Sanjay Dutt) and Vinay (Sunny Deol) are the best of friends living in England. Vinay even wants to marry Neelima (Raveena Tandon), the sister of Vikram which could finally signal the end of the Mirtagarh and Surjangarh feud. Will they succeed in finally ending this feud between their respective families or will they too be fated to continue this bloody tradition by being forced to fight each other where only one will be left standing.

True, but this is bollywood when Nargis can play Sunil Dutt's Ma in Mother India - can't Rani dye her hair and look older to say Imran Khan or whoever out of the young lot?😆

this was one action packed movie... i can't imagine imran or anyone young pulling off the role like sanjay dutt or sunny deol did... they played kshatriya's... IF anyone can suit the role, my guess would be salman khan... he looks good in action... also, akshay might be able to pull it off...

for rakhi's role... you need someone who looks mature and can carry the role well... so someone who is ACTUALLY OF AGE... not young acteresses with hair dye... rani can play the role opposite salman... and for mother's role, my guess would be hema malini... she is a great performer... and i think she'll suit the role..!
