Hey

sorry for bringing this up and i am sure there are many big b fans here so please do not bash me i am only bringing this up as i was watching sisila for the first time ever and got me thinking..i have read somewhere that rekha/amitabh had a affair..i was completly shocked when i read it a while ago today watching the film it reminded me again...now what i want to know is , what went on is there any truth to this??.

I have no clue, i was wondering about this.

Everyone in the Industry knows about Amitabh-Rekha's affair......alot of insiders still say that whenever Amitabh is on an outdoor shoot, accommodation is also booked for Rekha as well.

yes I beleive it was true.

from what I have heard, Amitabh was ready to leave Jaya for Rekha but thats when he got injured in the stomach and was seriously injured and the astrologers whom the bachans stronly beleive in strongly recommended him not to , as Rekha was a bad omen for him and thats when he left her.

But I beleive this rumour coz if they were mere colleagues now, they would exchange pleasantaries and work with each other now. Instead we all know that they dont see eye to eye and do not even exchange a simple " hi" and refuse to discuss each other or work with each other.This is weird esp when they have acted in so many movies together, this shows that there was something between them .

Tina your explanation makes sense to me its true they are vetrens and done some good films together and werid they do not speak but then again sometimes happens to other couples after they keep getting linked like kareena/hritik.

Yeh bachans do belive astrology and that makes sense think about it if he had left jaya..i think might have fallen in alot of peoples eyes compared to god like status he acheived its one thing having a affair and leaving a wife thats not known much to public ..but to leave one for another would be disaster...though both are just as wrong.

Poor Jaya shes a very strong women and the kids since not like anythings hidden...i read somewhere that sisila was yash chopras attempt to make big b see sense etc...since apparently sanjeev like jaya to.

This is one rumour which I think is true! I also read a lot about Rekhan-Amitabh affair. I guess that's the reason why they have not done a film in a very long time (and I doubt that they will) Even when Rekha was interviewed by Simi Garewal and was asked about Amitabh, the discomfort on her face was visible, yet she spoke fondly of him.

I agree with Tina59...that's exactly what I read as well.

hi,

the speculation with amitabh/rekha will continue until either party decides to give a no-holds barred interview.
and, i don't think that's going to ever happen.
also, they did have a relationship for more than a decade, was a bit more than a 'moments' slip....
plus, Jaya-Amitabh are never seen together, unless with friends or family....
just, adds to the 'story'....
