The creatives of this show are showing beautifully the transition from being a Single Parent to being a Joint Parent - both from the natural parent's side as well as from the acquired parent's side
Abha is having trouble in dealing with sharing the space with the new parent on the block.
From the tight leash on which a mother would keep the kid to a relaxed mode of dealing with the kid, which often the male partner tends to have...
It is a hard transition...
And there are instances where in the kid gets confused between the modes and turns out to be spoilt.. So Abha has all reasons to be worried...

Sandy is trying to learn parenting.. And first steps are to get himself into the heart of the kid..
Being a first time parent, he is bound to be wrong sometimes too...

And the makers of this show are dealing with that painful phase quite realistically

I was gonna make a post on the same! Love what you wrote & I completely agree with you.
Abha's insecurities are so beautifully & realistically being portrayed. Having raised Aryan alone, she always has had the full rights on him & decisions relating to him. Her sisters & mother never seem to have interfered on that front. Obviously she would have an issue with Sandy's sudden interference. Love how Mandy put forth Sandy's opinion in that he's only trying to be a father for Aryan. All this requires a fine balance & that marriage is not simply about loving each other, there are responsibilities as well which include both parents having a similar perspective/direction they are headed towards with regards to Aryan & their marriage.

They raised similar points with respect to Rhea & Myra as well in that marriage isn't simply about loving your partner. For Rhea/Nikhil, they both needed to grow up & be able to stand for each other, & fight as one. MyBir too are growing into a steady couple who trust each other & can accept each other for their good & bad, esp from Myra's front.

I can't remember the last hindi show that portrayed so many realistic, sensitive issues in such a balanced, introspective manner.

Abha and sandy's cafe scene made me so emotional! The emotions, love, and understanding between the both were so poignant and real there. And that hug! Ugh. Totally made me teary eyed. Damn! This show has gone above and beyond the below average content and unrealistic tropes of TV. Sigh... They are wrapping up everything so beautifully! 😭

Agree with you. Most shows would have ended the Abha-Sandy story with a 'and they lived happily ever after' instead of exploring the issues that arise when making a transition from single parenting to shared parenting.

Also, it did seem up until last night's episode that Abha was not a 100% but gave in to her family's requests. Glad they explored the logistics in the past few episodes.
