Zene meets Zeke-Arshad Warsi

Actor Arshad Warsi and wife Maria have been blessed with a baby girl. Arshad boarded a flight from London as soon as he heard that Maria had gone into labour. The baby was born at Lilavati Hospital yesterday at 8.42 am. Arshad arrived later in the evening and headed straight for the hospital. "Now our family is complete," says proud papa Arshad.

He adds, "We have named the baby Zene which means 'beautiful' in African. She is very pretty. Maria wanted her to have a second name so we have decided to call her Zene Zoe Warsi. Zoe means 'life' in Greek." Both mother and the baby are in good health and will be discharged from the hospital soon. The couple already have a son called Zeke.

An actor, on condition of anonymity, says, "For his shooting schedule (for Goal) Arshad wanted to take Maria along with him, but doctors advised Maria not to travel because of her pregnancy."

Arshad even got to spend the day with his new-born since the shooting of Dhamaal was cancelled for the day. "Arshad really wanted to spend the day with Maria, but he couldn't afford it because Indra Kumar wanted the entire cast for the scene. But when the shooting was cancelled, he was quite relieved. Arshad will join the shoot from today," says the actor.
