Aryan Vaid's professional as well as personal life is going great guns. Thanks to the much-talked about reality show of which he was part of, his not-so-happening career got a fresh lease of life. His popularity has soared, and he also found the love of his life.
So how's is Aryan handling his new found fame? "It's crazy. The good part is that I now have a great fan following. I get a lot of fan mails from girls. "It's a nice feeling. I had no idea television has become this huge," he confesses with a smile. Was it difficult to live incommunicado in a place without a phone, TV or other modern gadgets for 35 days?
"It wasn't that difficult, but, what I did find difficult was dealing with people and the politics they played. The whole experience taught me a lot about human nature. I have also learned to accept people as they are. Now I am more calm than I used to be," he says.
What does he have to say about his relationship with Anupama Verma? "Too much has been said about us. When I joined the show, I did not have any idea that I will get involved with someone. It's a very special relationship. And, it's time we got complete privacy. Building a relationship is a process and for that we really need our space," says Aryan.
So what does he have to say about Anupama? "She is the best soul I have ever met. There is lot of goodness in her. Anupama taught me how to live life without conviction and hurt. She is not at all filmi," he informs proudly. So where is the relationship heading now? "Let's not get into it. Suddenly my personal life has became public. I wish we'll have some privacy now," he shoots back. But what does his family has to say about all this? "My family is happy that finally on the personal front I am showing some commitment," he says.
Although it's small screen which made Aryan a household name, Bollywood is what the model-turned-actor is interested in. "I am just taking a shot at Bollywood. I am completing films which I had signed earlier. Recently, I finished shooting for Anil Sharma's Apne. I am also getting lot of film offers, touchwood. Now I will start doing big budget movies," he say guardedly. But what about television? Does he have any plans to work in more reality shows? "I don't intend to work in reality shows, at least not of the kind I was in. Also, working in serials based on fiction is not my cup. I love dancing and would love to do a dance show. And I would also love to anchor a show."
Are the producers listening?
