I only watch Big Boss sometimes, only because Big Brother is not on yet in the US/Canada!

I loved Big Brother, and I realize there are some major differences between this and Big Boss. (One is HOH and veto but the other reasons are away from these technical things.)

Most BB fans in the US loved players like Will and Boogie, Dan etc. They were lovingly given names such as "puppet master" and "dr.evil." They played the whole house and got away with it and at the end won the money! They sometimes pretended to be in love, and would make false promises, but in the end no one would be on to them. Most of these players at the end were voted by their own house mates on the jury, they had betrayed, to win the show. The house mates could accept they were played, but respected the fact they played the game strategically and made them win! Nobody liked "loafters," who would ride on other ppls coat tails till the end.

I don't see much real strategy on Big Boss, not even like a calm person, who is a quite schemer. Instead everyone is not cunning or sly, and most ppl can see through each others games (not even Aashmit who tries to be cunning but everyone can see it....some ppl in BB were so cunning like Will that he never got put on the block and even when he asked ppl to vote him out they wouldnt...he was that good!)

So would neone mind telling me who are the real schemers, who actually know how to master the game in this season, in case I am missing it. No one seems really loved by the audience either, so who is that? AND who are the loafters, just riding on other ppls coat tails to get ahead?

Guess only Shweta Tiwari knows whats required, coz she has little experience of Iss Jungle and other shows. And so she looks pretty consistent in the house.
She should win guess so.

Yeah she is. But anybody can win when it comes down to final 2, as in the case of Rahul Roy beat Ravi Kishan, that was a no contest or Ashutosh beat Raja.

@CanadianAddict - Indian adaptation of Big Brother is very different from most other countries' adaptation.

Major difference is because in other countries, relatively "common" people are chosen as candidates. But in Indian Bigg Boss, "stars" are chosen. This has two effects -

1. There is a certain notion that stardom can carry a person to victory and hence no game-play is required. It is true to a certain extent but not entirely.

2. Since the participants are public figures, even if they have a "strategy" they have to "explain" their actions to their own fans. Many participants cannot afford to lose their fan-base for better chances of victory in Bigg Boss. Hence there is less game-play.

Secondly, the system of public voting through SMS is also not in all adaptations of Big Brother. This causes the feeling in contestants that fooling the inmates is not enough. Public must be fooled. If one inmate is found attempting to fool other inmates, public will know it. Public may or may not approve of such behaviour ("may not" is more likely).

I have seen Big Brother couple of times and to be honest it stands nowhere near our Indian version i.e. Big Boss..esp season 4.
It's too calm, quiet and even the scheming and planning are too secretive whereas the Indian version is open and loud and even the tasks given to housemates in big brother are too dainty whereas Big boss sometimes turns out to be daunting which in a way keeps us glued to the show.
One of the reason for this might be the huge cultural difference in our society, hence people from UK/Canada will never ever like our version and we Indians will never find their version spicy enough.

Yea, it could be the cultural difference. I would argue BB in the UK is boring to me, but if you watch BB US its absolutely dramatic and scheming.

Yes I can see the mirch/masala but just in flirting and all these wedding things, i wanna see strategic game play.

Also I wish BB would get normal everyday ppl

For strategic gameplan, roadies is a better option,

or you can try some commoners or non-celebrities in bigg boss like Pravesh Rana........
Pravesh came with a plan to bad-mouth every housemate who has negative image for he was a wild card entry and in the end he wrecked havoc on the house but he was not able to fool the viewers.

Celebrities can't play games coz they already have such positive image in public.
