Bcoz ppl in India can't separate a character from an actor. I remember Deepika who played Sita in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, had to be saved from angry folks who had come to watch the shoot and caught her wearing jeans and smoking a ciggie. Kya karein? 😆

I never knew that she was popular untill I visited this forum.....I think those who like TV soaps, they like ST .

For me its sympathy votes as even the host of the show keeps talking about her daughter and praises her for best mom.

I dont know of any show where she was popular .....other than KZK

But I wonder if she should really be called single mom ? Looks like abhinav is staying with her for last couple of years and they are about to get married. So she must be helping her with lot of stuff....I can imagine how difficult it is for single mom's but I think she must be getting some help from abhinaav and her mom .

Even sameer is divorcee and now dating neelam ........but ST is cashing in big time for her single mom issue.

all daily soap actors are popular star plus airs shows 3 times every day in almost every country.. smriti irani, mona singh etc are probably more popular than her...
