Sat Episode - Fine Print

Without getting into the Shilpa Vikas War and Peace - some subtle nuances from the episode today:

1.Never before has Salman been so blatant about saying things (per the creative brief he is given) or making fun of someone or shutting a person down with repeated distaste..Personally - the way he has been shaming Pooja is uncomfortable to watch now.. Feel bad for her as she comes across quite harmless.. As for Arshi, she does get shut down by him quickly anytime she is trying to be oversmart like she did on Sat. At times, I feel bad for her, but she does not help her own cause..
These are a few of those things we have not seen coming from him so openly before..

2. As expected, Vikas and Shilpa led the show today with a Hina thrown in here and there..We even got a surprise short appearance from Hiten today.. I do wonder at times, why do others even bother showing up.

3.Popats made out of Vikas and Ben and to a small extent Shaggy, Mez and Luv

4. Vikas: Boy - was he given a few blows nicely!! As the housemates say - makhmal mein lapet kediya... Never before in a season have i seen a host make straight comments calling out the nautanki of its HMs..

- To Vikas- "You were in a commanding position outside for some peeps here and here they are an equal and you are not being able to handle that" - Ouch! Bull's eye! I could not believe it actually got said..

- "Noke ki Poke se Vikas Darpok ho ke BB lok chodna chahte hain!"

- When Vikas was trying to act tearing up (or thats how it looked) - Salman called it out and told him breathe and just stay put - Ahem!

- To Shilpa and "Vikas - Yeh apne personal stuff to use karke BB ko Vikas and Shilpa Shinde show bana rahe hain" (Vikas had the gall to smile sheepishly)... "Bahar se planning kar ke aaye hain".. So true!

- To Ben - "Jo ladki abhi tak dikh nahin rahi thi, koi involvement nahin tha - woh Captain ki candidate? Darna chahiye aap ko nominations se".. Ben did not know where to look

- To Vikas - "Aap ka bahut Vikas ho raha hai is ghar mein Vikas.." and "Aap chaar logon ko pakad ke phir wohi karte ho"

Shilpa got rebuked a bit about going personal but was not stopped for her 'annoy Vikas" antics.. I maintain that her relentless verbal irritation of Vikas is not bullying (minus the personal comments) but an annoyance and a mental torture that he has been unable to handle.. What Vikas did by throwing his plate close to Shilpa was borderline violence and he could have been taken to task by someone else as an attack to be kicked out..But I have to doff my hat to Shilpa for not making a big deal about it and do more comedy the same way she did when he spilled tea and damaged her clothes.. They are both out of line here - but such is this show and IMO - Shilpa is handling this way better than Vikas..

The message to Vikas was very clear that his childish behavior is not making him look good other than making a joke of him in the house.. The mental torture from Shilpa is going to continue as long as he keeps reacting.. Don't think he has fully absorbed it yet though

Hina: She was good, spoke just enough and put across her points well..She seems more settled in the house now and onto Vikas.. It is clear that there is troubled waters between her and Vikas and my crystal ball says that we will see the focus shift to more conflict between the two of them and two camps forming in the coming weeks.. Ben and Priyank are bad news for both her and Hiten .They will flip and hurt her - so she would be well served to not make an emotional investment in these two and lean on Hiten instead when needed.

Hiten - Kuch Kuch Khul raha hai ab.. Hope to see more of him as he can be quite funny with his one liners..

All others - meh! So what else is new..

The game is at a curious point right now where the power and alliances are shifting again.. Will be interesting to see how the dust settles as that will set the tone for the next couple of weeks..

I think u forgot to mention tht salman even said to vikas if u handle this ( means ss poking ) with patience by nt reacting u will be in better position. Wht i think he clearly hinted him u will get gud support as flip madam is already losing it (tredmendous support of people which she got in starting week)

I was in fact surprised that Salman so bluntly called Vikas' bluff, but I dont know if dat's good, coz now definitely Vikas will change his game. But then he can change his game, but I guess he cant change his personality or character and that will keep coming out.

And yes Shilpa too faces stuffs from Vikas, but she handles them much better. I wonder if Vikas does a Shilpa, in taking everything in his stride, would that frustrate Shilpa?😆😆😆 Like my older relentlessly teases my younger one and she keeps complaining to me and I tell her d same thing salman said, learn to handle it herself and not to react. 😆

You are especially on point about Priyank and Ben. Today was a clear indication to all HMs that Priyank is not to be trusted. Hiten is very observant so he already knows who is to be trusted but Hina seems too emotional to notice.

Since you're on a roll with your analysis, any thoughts on Sapna and the appy fizz call?

Sapna - to be honest I skipped her and Pungi part as I did not see anything fine there.. I feel Sapna has quite a bit to give to the show but she seems disengaged and distant and at times out of place.. She has threatened and promised a lot of things but has yet to walk the talk.. Given that we are at the midpoint of the show, I doubt she will come out anymore now.. But she is the unpredictable one and fip flopped a bit herself.. She is close to Shilpa at this time.. Kal kya pata :)

Vikas was clearly told many times to stop reacting or chasing her. He is just not able to handle this in a contained environment and has shown little mental strength to withstand it..
