I don't know why people believe that Salman Khan has ruined his reputation, BB is a popular show in India but it doesn't have the same following worldwide actually I didn't even know BB existed until this year when Colors has started coming free on the UK Sky Box. Salman I would say has the biggest following in the UK, he is a brand in itself and what people like about him is that he is genuine, maybe his lack of acting skills help him express his personality a lot better than others.
Coming to your point of double standards, I did not see any double standards from him as he only brought up Kushals comment on Chamiya when Kushal claimed he has never made a derogatory comment towards anyone and that is when Salman brought the comment up. Prior to that or even after that he has not said anything to Kushal regarding his comments. The issue with Kushal and also Gauhar is that they suffer from selective Amnesia, they completely blank their own wrongdoings and point others out.Armaan is an absolute lowlife and between him and Kushal are the two most disgusting and vile contestants in the BB House but to Armaans credit he does not claim to be Holier than thou which helps him when questioned by Salman.Kushal and Gauhars defence is always I never do this and I never do that, I never say this and I never say that. They should accept that they were wrong in the heat of the moment and move on, Kushal made himself look like a right pillock when he claimed calling someone chamiya is fine. I didn't see any double standards from Salman all he did was replied to Kushals comment of him not using abusive language in the house as opposed to reprimanding him directly for the comment.

Chamiya comment by Kushal was brought up weeks ago as well,it wasn't only 2 weeks before.Secondly,Salman does have following in UK but only among the Indians and Pakistani's is he more popular, otherwise many don't even know if anyone named Salman exists

Are you trying to say that anyone other than Indians and Pakistanis watch BB?The point which you missed and I was trying to say is that Salman has a much bigger following than BB and what happens on the programme does not have much of a bearing on Salmans image as some people who are die hard fans may believe as Salman has a global following from Indians and Pakistanis who have a considerable population in the West.Coming to the point of Kushal and his Chamiya comment, Salman brought the point up to counter Kushals argument of that he has not made a derogatory comment in the house. I assure you if Armaan had done the same than Salman would obviously remind him of his past shenanigans, No double standard whatsoever.
