Sophia's switch seemed planned. Did you see Armaan's face when she said 'maa ki kasam' and he told her not to say that. lol he was sorta smiling.. it seemed fake to me. And since they were discussing about sending Sophia instead of Candy (dining table convo).. it could be possible!

candy ko evict karna hai tabhi toh khushal to laa rehe hai otherwise she will be wasted..waise they know nothing will come up unless they have something under their sleeves to instigate khushal or candy
