The worst was last weekend, where Tanna had a good week, and Farah started telling Tanna off for not taking a stand against Sambo's shoe throwing for Dimpy

What crap, Farah ignores the grilling of 'Gullu' when he LAUGHED at the despicable show throwing act, but decides to grill Tanna for not shouting it's wrong. Pathetic. The person she should've grilled there was Gulati, no one else even came close to being pathetic during that issue.

I repeat, Tanna needs to win this.

Exactly and Dumpy should have being grilled too.

karishma should win the show only because she has the guts and patient to tolerate crap from crapy hosts like farah and salman the height of biasness this season is disgusting and very very evident.
karishma was grilled for no reason this week

Bigg Boss has always had its own set of favourites and more evidently, targets. Last year, Gauahar Khan was continuously picked on, this time, it's Karishma Tanna. Ever since the show started, host Salman Khan made sure he repeatedly slammed Karishma Tanna for anything and everything she did, conveniently overlooking bigger events. Last weekend, the show's new host Farah Khan, took bullying to a whole new level by dedicating one whole episode to slamming Karishma for the littlest of things. Now, Karishma Tanna may not be the fairest of all players, but are the others any better? She may be self-centred and biased with a lot of her decisions, but she's definitely doesn't deserve to be cornered so evidently.

Disclaimer: We're in no way trying to propagate that Karishma Tanna is the best contestant on the show, just trying to point out how the show is being totally unjust in singling her out from the whole lot and deliberately portraying her a certain way while others seem to be getting away with anything they do.

Here, we discuss why it is simply unfair to target one contestant, specially Karishma Tanna on Bigg Boss 8.

1. First things first, how fair is it for the hosts of the show to manipulate the audiences by putting forth their own judgements so strongly? Voicing your opinion is one thing, calling it a fact is another. Time and again, both Salman and Farah have been indirectly (but evidently) propagating that their favourites win, and at the same time, clouding the audiences' judgements against others, Karishma Tanna in this case. If it is a show being judged by the audiences, do we really need the host to feed into us who is right and who is wrong?

Colors

2. Puneet Issar manhandled Arya Babbar. Even though he was exiled from the house, he was brought back the very next day. Sonali slapped Ali, and Sambhavna threw a shoe at Dimpy. These issues were addressed alright, but none of those contestants were ever really scrutinised for such violent acts, the way Karishma has been humiliated time and again on the show, for things much trivial in impact, be it her demanding her make up or being an unfair captain last week. She may have been foolish or even selfish with some of her decisions, but who hasn't? While bigger issues have been conveniently brushed under the carpet by sending out nothing but polite warnings to the above contestants, one wrong move by Karishma Tanna always lands her up under the scanner. Where's the balance?

Colors

3. That Karishma Tanna is probably the only contestant on the show who performs all tasks diligently with unmatchable enthusiasm is a well known fact. Targetting her this time was totally uncalled for. Even if we assume, she did not perform the task well this time, how fair is it to corner her the one time she couldn't live up to the expectations of the host, when most of the other contestants have been unsporting and disappointing during the previous tasks throughout the show?

Colors

4. Not only did Farah Khan disapprove of Karishma Tanna's strategy in the call centre task, she criticized her for bringing up personal issues during the task. Now, what exactly were Ali, Sana, Sambhavna and Rahul Mahajan doing while they were on calls with Gautam, Mehak and Pritam respectively, if not digging old graves? Moreover, wasn't that precisely the point of the task - ranting and venting out, provoking the other contestant to give up? Whether Karishma Tanna chose to sort it out with Rahul personally or use it as an advantage (like everybody else) in the task was her personal decision and it is unjustifiable for the host or anybody to question it.

Colors

5. Farah Khan threw logic and common sense out of the window when she repeatedly questioned Karishma whether she was venting out her frustration or performing the call centre task on her call with Rahul Mahajan. Karishma said she was doing both, which was apparently very difficult for Farah Khan to understand, for some odd reason. Just because she expressed how good she felt even after supposedly losing the task, doesn't mean she didn't give it her best shot! Like Karishma rightly pointed out, none of the contestants ever put the phone down. So, it is wrong to say she underperformed. Farah Khan claiming that Karishma Tanna was the weakest during the task solely because the strongest player Rahul Mahajan who was pitted against her was another ridiculous argument. Karishma and Rahul were the two strongest competitors and just because Rahul emerged out to be stronger than Karishma, it doesn't make Karishma the weakest, definitely not as compared to some who did not even get a chance to perform the task and others like Ali who took the task as a mere joke. R.I.P. logic.

Colors

6. Karishma was also hauled up for snatching away a chance from Dimpy. Now, it is understandable that Dimpy could have given Rahul Mahajan a tough competition by pushing the right buttons, but there can obviously be no surity to how successful that would have been. Who knows, she could've fallen weak and given up midway, or she could have given it her best shot and Rahul would have still defeated her. No denying that Dimpy definitely wasn't the weakest performer last week and Karishma's judgement was obviously biuased, but calling Karishma the weakest as a retort was equally wrong. Dimpy obviously got an undeserving benefit of doubt just because she didn't get to perform the task. And that's also not entirely true. She did get another chance to challenge some other contestant from the opposite team, but she chose not to. Why then, would the host Farah Khan still hold Karishma guilty?

Colors

7. This was not the first time Karishma was targeted. A couple of weeks ago, she was outrightly bullied by host Salman Khan not one but for two full episodes, just because his jokes made her feel humiliated and got her to tear up on television. She repeatedly apologised and said she was having a hard day, which had taken a toll on her, but Salman did not spare her. Of course, he is Salman Khan - the superstar and people are not allowed to mind his jokes. Sounds legit. This is what's more strange. During the recent finale, Sonali blatantly refused to answer one of his questions because she wasn't in the mood for it'. But Salman laughed this absolute insult off, because she happens to be one of Salman's favourites. All hail favouritism!

Colors

8. Karishma was put under the spotlight because her outburst against Rahul Mahajan was unfortunately timed after Upen re-entered the house recently. But, what's wrong with Upen influencing Karishma. The duo have always been the best of friends and it is only fair if Upen warns her of the people inside. It's not hard to digest that Karishma may have gained a lot more confidence to take a stand with Upen around. Whenever someone new has entered the house, people have gotten influenced, equations have changed and fights have built up. What's new? Moreover, isn't that precisely the point of wild card entries?

Colors

9. Not just Farah Khan, but even the contestants on the show slammed Karishma for enjoying Rahul's attention first and shooing him away later. Those who have watched the show regularly would have seen Karishma's irritation building up. Also, it is entirely upto an individual when he/she decides to put a stop to romantic advances by someone else. Just because she didn't insult Rahul the first time, doesn't necessarily mean she was enjoying or asking for it. And, she definitely did clear it out a couple times that she wasn't liking his flirtatious advances anymore. It is not for you, me or Farah Khan to decide when is the right time to cut someone off.

Colors

10. Dimpy is one of the most intelligent contestants on the show and the author's personal favourite, but she seems to have overplayed the victim card this week. While Farah Khan left no opportunity to reiterate that Karishma Tanna had revealed Dimpy's information from Dimpy's private life to other housemates, disrespecting Dimpy's trust, she conveniently forgot to notice how even Dimpy spend the last few days revealing everything Karishma ever told her to contestants like Sambhavna and Mehak, whom she has never really been friends with.

Very good article! Anyone who is watching BB with a fair and neutral outlook can see that the show is just ridiculous and just because she doesn't cry at the drop of a hat like other female contestants and is strong she is constantly bashed..
Whereas other contestants are never questioned even if they are wrong..

I am not a KT fan and I do not agree with all the points made in this article. I do agree with some of them about how host should not give their own opinion about what's going on. I also agree that there were people who did worse on the show but were not grilled as much.

But... KT also has a flaw of not listening and not understanding anyone else's point of view. Farah wasn't necessarily wrong on every single point. She asked KT why Dimpy was chosen and there was definitely logic as to others being worse than Dimpy. KT should learn to accept when it's her mistake... but he problem is she NEVER thinks it's her mistake. She only thinks others are wrong ALL the time.

I also don't agree with the article regarding what HMs thought of her phone task and snapping at Rahul. If KT can judge others and comments on others then so can other HMs on KT.

I also don't agree about KT bullied the first time with Salman. First, she was a captain that week so she should've known that she will be scrutinized more than the others. Pritam too was scrutinized closely when he was the captain. Same with Upen and Diandra. The following day she herself made a fool of herself during the GK quiz. It's not Salllu's fault that KT is so dumb that she doesn't know what 5*0 is. That was not bullying.

Finally, I agree nothing wrong with Upen influencing Tanna... BUT, WHY is Upen brought back in? To guide Tanna, right? So in that sense BB is actually NOT being unfair to KT because she gets to have a non-contestant to guide her all the time whereas all else are playing individually.

All in all, yes, others could be grilled too but ONLY others are not to be blamed for KT being targeted. Her own actions bring her on the receiving end.

Karishma is targeted not because she is dumb, arrogant, self centered that we know she is, but she is targeted because she argue and doesn't accept her fault.
