In BB's house BB gives the punishment and GG knows that. Puneet got his punishments earlier for getting violent and despite that if he gets violent again that means he has anger issues.Arya is here in the show for the same reason why his puneet uncle is here for. Whereas for your family example is concerned, BB is nothing like home. But if my sister does hit me, I would first ask her why and then act accordingly, I wouldn't take advantage of the situation to get more brownie points from my parents
