I saw the episode closely and when Ali and Punz were shouting outside the booth, this is what Praneet said...

Churaya ya jo bhi hua humne cheeni use nahi kiya ( Whatever happened we havent used the stolen sugar ).. which is the truth both cups of sugar were confiscated !

Only Karishma said that the bowl of sugar was theirs from the task !

Later Praneet scolds Pritam for using the wrong method to cook jalebi to which Pritam dsnt agree... So Pritam tells Ali that Panditji sunte hi nahi hai galat idea tha unka...

I think it's because of Pritam and Ali's conversation (around the end of that episode) which has caused all this confusion and controversy regarding Praneet...

Pritam was very cleverly targeting Praneet for everything (from losing that Jalebi wala task to that cheeni controversy)...he is a clever player... whenever he targets someone, he always makes sure that he dresses up his criticism as sarcasm or humor...

Exactly! mujhe bhi samajh nahi aaya ki ye log Praneet ko kyon target kar rahe hai... aur inki conversation sunkar mujhe laga ki shayad maine hi kuch miss kar diya hoga...

In their conversation Ali seemed to be saying (I might be wrong but this is what I thought I heard) that he ignored it when the first bowl of sugar was used in the mithai but had to come over when they started to use the second bowl... and Pritam was like yes -yes pandit ji was full on...

Even I thought Praneet what the hell did you do...

But then later on after reading this post and remembering the episode... I find no reason to blame Praneet... arrey usne yahi to kaha na ki maine nahi dali sugar... aur table ke neeche 2 bowls sugar rakhe bhi the jo Ali ne confiscate kar liye... fir akhir ye dono kya chugli kar rahe the Pandit ji ke baarey me mujhe kuch samajh nahi aaya...
