This is to empathise with Debolina inspite of disliking her as a contestant. Sharing my own similar story.

15 years ago my senior colleague started suggesting what he wanted from me ( more than a kiss) when I was on a sales call and alone in the car with him. We were sales and marketing executives in a 5 Star Hotel and out to meet a client.

I was stunned and I take time to process such behavior. I didn’t immediately react and kept quiet while continued discussing work hoping all of it will go away. He repeated and I told him to shut up as it’s not funny and kept talking about the meeting. The whole drive back was surreal and I was in a daze. I should have asked him to stop the car and walked out. I should have slapped him ( hard to do when he is the driver).... but I did neither immediately.

Only once I was back at work and alone in the office I called my friend and started discussing the incident and felt furious with this man and his audacity.

Seeing what happened to Debo brought back my incident. I can empathise with her reaction. Also every person reacts differently. It’s not fair to be judgemental towards the victim.

Now who the F is Salman to tell women on how to react during such incidents? Who is Karan? If you haven’t experienced it, you have no right.

Bichukle as expected wasn’t shamed enough, wasn’t rebuked enough. Instead they felt Ritesh needed a far worse dressing down. What a terrible episode for women yesterday.

If you noticed, there were two interactions of devo- bichu which were shown to all HMs before the discussion. In the first one, devo over reacted & made a mudda of 'bhali maa ka beta'. She shouted at the top of her voice when there was nothing offensive about the statement and it was not even about her. She was faking her anger in that case

The second time, when it was actually about her, she did not react the way she was expected to.It was not that she was stunned, she kept on insisting that Bichu was not doing enough to make her win. So she was expecting help from her own harasser. Strange. This devo gets so loud & hyper almost on almost anything but she can't wart off a man like bichu..even though she knows he can't cross the line with her physically when they are constantly on camera.

Just relating to her, personally I am not at all a meek person by nature. I react strongly to so many incidents that make me angry. Deboleena is a known loud mouth who exaggerates and has done so in past incidents.

When it happened to me why didn’t I react immediately many people ask. Why talk about it later? How did I continue talking about the client meeting and pretend for a while that I hadn’t heard shit? How did I just say “shut up” and change focus to work and talk to my harasser about work related stuff?

Maybe as a woman if we don’t conform to what our reactions must be as general public wants it to be we deserve it. We deserve for a man to harass us. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I understand what you are trying to say. But in the outside world, we are our own protectors and sometimes don't react or ignore things so as not to ignite or rather cool the other person off by brushing off things under the carpet or feigning ignorance. We do this for our own safety as we are scared of the reaction. In BB house, people are under camera surveillance throughout and so this theory doesn't work.

Me too movement is to inspire women to stand up for themselves against offenders. Devo is a horrible example for Me too movement because by interacting with the offender again and again despite being warned by other contestants, she is discouraging women to draw the line and stay away from the offender.

It’s sad to see how majority blamed the victim and advised on how she could have done better rather than the abuser.

Doesn't matter whether there are cameras or not. The feeling of being attacked stays the same.

From the time Abhijeet came in, I never liked him. He is creepy. Whatever he did or say with Shamita or Devo he gives me creepy, cringey vibes. Normally I am a feminist n i stand for woman rights.

But in Devo's matter, she should not have taken any favour from him after so many things he has done to make her uncomfortable(she said so in that episode). So atleast after he asked for first puppy, n "she was not sure how to react", she should haven't asked him to get more n more, hide inside jacket blah blah. So she reacted on her convenience. Now she can't play the victim card here.
