Armchair Psychology: Shamita is blinded by senseless hate for Divya

Here's the situation as I see it:

Disclaimer: I am no fan of Divya. And I am certainly not PR despite some of your previous comments LOL. Mature replies based on evidence and show-based speculation only please.

Chronology of events:

- Divya was bashed by KJo in the first WKV because kuch masala chahiye thah.

- Shamita took his word as gospel and started seriously ignoring Divya.

- It became clear to everyone that the bashing was exaggerated by week three because similar offenses were not called out or attacked as vehemently. Plus KJo saying he is not responsible for Akshara's "interpretation" of his very clear false insinuation that Divya looks down on the bhojpuri audience sealed the deal. Shamita is smart enough to know this.

- Over time, the housemates warmed up to Divya. She has been strongly holding her own without a connection, cooks for everyone, is a pleasant presence around the house to chill with (outside game sitautions), and hasn't been able to participate alot yet is keeping her morale up. That's a likable trait for anyone, especially when you see her cooking for you daily.

- Main point: Shamita experienced some light embarrassment over taking KJo's bullshi+ so seriously, but her ego will not allow her to accept it.

- Shamita's frustrations continue to grow as her closest friend in the house Raqesh very obviously has no hard feelings for Divya at all, is pretty fond of her actually, and only ignores her because of Shamita's requests *ahem* orders.

- The narrative that Shamita controls Raq catches fire. Housemates taunt her about it. Divya's initial issue with her was about her dominance. Maybe she has been called that in past relationships/friendships too so could be a trauma trigger point. Even KJo is now joking about the lip balm thing, the very guy whose word Shamita took as the blind truth. This starts to eat Shamita inside.

- Today, during the auto task, there was a situation where Shamita decided to approach Divya to form an alliance. Divya was very clear about her situation and said she would only play along if Moose betrayed her. (Opinion: The rude and ehsaan-wala way that Shamita approached Divya after all these weeks, I wouldn't have even given her a second of my time. Her ego is sky-high.)

- Then, during the auto task, as expected Moose didn't betray Divya. So obviously Divya didn't execute Shamita's plan. This destroyed Shamita's ego internally. She approached the woman she has been ignoring for weeks and yet she came out being the loser here. So the mean girls wala heavy ignore natak started eventually ending in the big confrontation. Divya is not at all to blame in any of this. Anyone in her place would be irritated. How long is someone supposed to be treated like a second class citizen woh bhee based on baseless crap that everyone else does anyway? This all started because KJo/creative wanted to paint a ghatiya love triangle and Shamita knows it. She is too stubborn to accept that her initial reading of the situation was wrong.

- Additional mental baggage Shamita is probably carrying internally: she knows she has bitched alot, she knows she has used horrible insults towards others, she knows she has clearly slu+ shamed Moose and questioned her upbringing behind her back. She didn't get bashed for it. But she knows the camera caught it. If indeed her purpose of coming to the show was to establish an identity for herself outside her last name, then it backfired because unfortunately for her she is getting a character one of a favored nepo-kid. This isn't directly her fault. But she's smart enough to notice the pattern. And its gotta be killing her inside too.

Moral of the story: When you misread a situation, believe something later proven wrong, or overreact to something don't let ego lead the way. Fix the situation. Otherwise it will eat you up inside. Be the bigger person and make amends. Now Shamita is trapped too far in this cycle of hate for Divya. She doesn't just hate her for all the week one stuff anymore, but also for her own dislike towards the symbolism of how she's being portrayed, how Raq is not understanding her internal turmoil, and how KJo took her for a ride and made her look like a fool. Divya has become the face of all of Shamita's problems in the house now.

One thing I wanted to add:

- Neha is a very toxic friend to have in Shamita's case. Because joh bhee ho, Shamita's problem is her ego, stubbornness, and inability to change her opinion. But she's no fool, in fact, I think she is the smartest one in the house. On the other hand, Neha is a true dumbass. She never assesses any situation. Immediately gets defensive on any topic, paints herself to be the victim every time, and contradicts her own statements under the guise of being frustrated. If Neha was more level headed I think Shamita's hate towards Divya would have been kept in check. But Neha blindly fueled the continued hate and thus we are where we are. Today when Neha was jumping around saying Divya does nothing but make chai and whatnot even Shamita looked embarrassed of what she was saying.

I still have not been able to figure out why Shamita dislikes Divya so much? I mean there have been rivals in BB on every season. But Shamita’s dislike of Divya is on a whole different level.

You've analyzed everything to perfection!

@Blue - THIS!👏👏 I am so glad you caught onto that. I always knew that Divya's lack of willingness to let Shamita control her during the first week, irked Shitty Shammo hugely. She understood what Divya was implying to her and that was 'You cannot control me'.

Obviously Shammo has heard that from several of her Ex-es, who couldn't deal with her because of this very trait.😆 She confided that detail hastily once in an argument with Raqesh.

Divya is a smart cookie - so she caught onto that trait about Shamita, WAYYYY before anyone else did. When Shammo still had a facade of being an 'oh-so-mature' Woman, Divya saw through it and refused to be controlled. So she hated Divya with all her might. But alas! It got proven about her very soon and her pilla Raqesh has told it off to her face now, as well.

She hates Divya's guts, to not be intimidated by her and to not get subdued by her. She's definitely both threatened and jelous, that Divya is a strongly opinionated woman herself, much better than her in terms of being likeable, almost lost Raqesh to him in the first week and bounces back stronger each time, she's hit in the Wkv episodes. She infact hates that Divya's got Nishant & Moose as buddies now. I am sure she was hoping to see her crying and alone after Akshara Milind's exit, but that didn't happen and she is shocked and agitated.😆

@ Green - Arrogance + Entitlement + Rest Bitch Attitude in full display.😆 She was disgusting there, TBH. Who speaks in such a tone?! That too when you're trying to form an alliance with someone? She's either highly delusional or doesn't know how the world works - taken everything for granted in life.

Agree to every other point of your post.

Very well said. I have exactly the same thought. Shamita has a lot to learn here plus she’s totally lost it. Also i feel that Neha seems to be wise or atleast the way she talks she feels she’s wise but why can’t you be direct to your friend and tell her where she’s going wrong. Maybe its ber game but anyway..

Some how this reminds me of the same situation of Salman favouring Jasmin and insulting Rubina unnecessarily and Jasmin literally took what Salman said at face value and we all know what happened after that. Here Shamita is Jasmin and Divya is Rubina.

Good post and summary of what I have thought about I. Different places as well.

especially the part about neha. I will add this - One toxic person is too much. 2 of them together is just deadly. They feed on each other in a constant loop. And both of them think they are like these exceptionally sorted (and only sorted) people in house. But it’s the exact opposite. 😂😂. All they do is sit and bitch. But with a high level of toxicity … abd btw. This wasn’t just towards Divya. It was towards Akshara. Nishant too when you think of sadak chaap gaalee galoch. Would have been same with Raqesh if he had any voice whatsoever and u can clearly see it when he tries to say anything. Moose too except moose doesn’t go and provoke them all the time like Divya. 😂😂.

When one thinks that they are the most deserving and only deserving and above all this is what happens. You sit on a bench. Order the HMs — it has to be between Divya and me. And say things like jantaa needs to decide. Anyone rational goes. Huh. Ty for orders but madam how you gonna make that happen ? 😂😂.

Chalo. Inko inkee haar mubarak. In advance. 🕺🕺🕺.

Correct me if i am wrong but Shamita never tried to control Divya as such ..she did try to stop her from fighting unnecessarily and Divya took that as being controlling..

Shilpa likes Raqesh ..and he was thinking of making Divya his connection in initial days so i guess jealousy might be a reason ...because Nishant has been alot more rude towards Shamita yet she never holds a grudge against him for long

Agree with this one too. A huge jelousy factor there and jelousy is a vile emotion.

Nishant has been worse with Shamita and Pratik dropped her on her ass.😆 She still is very pally-pally with them and pretends all is okay.
