Why was Gutter gang protected for so long?

After the journey video, I can make sure even the makers didn't like Sid's bond with Pahira then my question is why did they wait for the end to do this? They didn't even give any hint to Siddharth about Pahira's real intentions. Why? Why were we tortured for so long?

and asim rashmi turned out to be nations fav (even vishal) and were loved for showing their resilience in the face of so much tragedy, bullying and threats
