We are responsible for men like Siddharth Shukla in our Society.

Apologize for the long post but couldn’t resist saying it.

Whenever a baby/child/girl or a woman is molested or raped we’ve come together in unity, light candles and protest. We debate for days on creating a safe environment for women. We hold placards on how instead of asking our daughters to not wear short clothes, we teach our sons to not rape. We talk about raising kids to respect each other. Treat each other with dignity. Educate them so that they understand the difference between love and lust, so that they understand that no means no. We make movies like Pink and hope they teach the masses the same.

What happens next? .. we forget. After we forget we glorify the very people who treat women like objects and worship them.

Colors, Bigg Boss 13 is a classic example. Right from day one we’ve glorified Siddharth Shukla and loved him treating Shehnaaz as his toy and then throwing her away. Just like a spoilt little kid who loves playing with his new toy car his parents brought him and when done throws it in a corner forgotten. Day after day we’ve shown a man who has satisfied his lust on national tv. And today he throws her away. We've created a hype around it and made people worship him. We’ve glorified “Aisi ladki” And made made fun of a woman who detested it to the core. We let him use Aarti as per his needs not caring that that girl actually had a panic attack. Glorified him and Paras pass cheap comments on Shefali while in the secret room. We’ve made all these women a laughing stock on national TV. But we’ve glorified him and justified his actions weekend after weekend because he is the one earning us the moola. The rest are just pawns.

We’ve given a clear pass to all those perverts and roadside romeos to justify their actions. WHY? Because, The channel Colors who once was known to the raise social issues seems fit to justify it. Media influences people. Ok to look for profits but do we ever draw a line?

At the end of the day when we support such people and actions we have no right to protest about safety of women because we as a society are a classic example of being hypocrites and 2 faced.

I'm sorry but I do not agree.

The words and actions of a so called celebrity cannot be taken as isolated incidents. I understand that it is a game show and contestants get frustrated and sometimes end up losing control.

And shukla toh even with control spews sh*t about others. His tone while addressing women speaks a lot about his own character.

But okay, even if we say that it is his personal problem, there are thousands of fans supporting his words and actions outside the show. When the words 'aisi ladki' were spoken, I saw multiple memes about the same, each with a nasty picture of rashmi, as if a 'hero' has shown the woman her place. I even saw a disturbing gif of a scene from DSDT, of him slapping her. And every single one of them had thousands of likes.

This is on national television. The behaviour of a man who is being hailed as the hero by so many people is being encouraged. His mannerism and lack of remorse is being projected as confidence. The real thug, playing alone and above all the others. So strong!

Would you take personal guarantee of the fact that these antic are not being emulated outside. No right? Then how is it only a show?

Yes we are.

All the fans supporting the filth he displays on national tv everyday of the week, the biased host, biased show, and biased channel - all set a precedence for the rest of the audience, therefore our society, that this is ok

this show is not a family show and should be moved to the 10 or 11 pm show so that our youth don’t get affected by the gutter crap that is shown and supported in this show

Moving it from this slot to a later one is not going to help. That way we are just hiding it from a small fraction. Taking something away is not the solution. Teaching them the difference between the right and wrong is.
Btw, the youth today is not the youth of 90’s who had a fixed time to watch tv and go to bed. Today kids have access to everything.

I agree! “Aisi ladki” has become a joke.

I agree on some points. This is very convenient of the people to say that. Look at example of Sana, she was all OK until Sid was allowing her to do what she want, as soon as he put a stop, he suddenly became an evil for her.

Women treat themselves as object whenever it suits them, to get any kind of benefit. It's very unfortunate. Look at the show how many girls have treated themselves as object for one person or other, be it Rasmi, Sana or Arti. Why no complain when man is treated as an object? It's time for equality right? I strongly believe nobody can force a women to be an object if she doesn't want.

Actually true. It's mostly women who easily take such type of harsh, abusive ,violent behaviour by man. That's why domestic abuse is so common in our society. Some how it is also considered more manly. Which is really disappointing. 🤓

I agree when you say that a lot of women use it to their benefit. Trust me I’m not a crusader for women’s right. I was totally disgusted with Madhurima treating Vishal the way she did. I don’t think either a man or a woman has any right to treat the opposite sex in a demeaning way.
I don’t remember the term but there was a post explaining Shehnaaz’s behavior. That girl has a serious problem. No one can act 24hrs for 4 months. Colors has milked that behavior but encouraging her. We’ve all seen all the liberties siddharth had all these days. It’s very clear what the channel is doing here. They’ve crossed all limits of decency to increase trp’s.
