Yup, I'd say its more like 2 months, but these last 4-6 weeks his popularity has really exploded. Frankly, its because of the meta-narrative of the bias.
- BB sends Rohit Shetty to say its unbiased yet cuts the exact promo with biased background effects showing Asim negative.
- BB claims he is not 'seen' when they were just showing SidNaaz. Almost everyone has access to the internet these days and its clear seeing on Twitter that they were hiding all the Asim material and dumping it on Voot, from where people ripped it and uploaded on Twitter and they became a big hit!
- BB unfairly evicted Himanshi, who Asim fans really liked as it brought a nice side to him (now the opinion towards HK has changed 😆) and then suddenly turned BB into Splitsvilla once Asim lost his girl.
- The biggest point of all - Shukla & PaHira (plus Shefali) are bullies. Everyone can see this. No amount of 'poke karraha hai' hides this. Visually you can just see that its always one vs many, and its a totally human tendency to side with the underdog, especially when you see his opponents getting away with everything.
Jo bhee ho, Asim himself needs to be praised to the moon and back. Many will not be able to digest it, especially if he wins, but he is genuinely one of the greatest Bigg Boss contestants of all time. F**king fearless. 4 weeks in a row he's been bashed (baap pe gaya, irritating hai, dikh nahee raha, gym mat kar, pyar mat kar) yet the dude is fearlessly standing outside the confession room when BB has asked him to leave demanding to be heard if Shukla is being heard. The self-belief, resolve, and mental fortitude required for this sort of confidence after 100+ days in this artificial frustrating world is amazing.
