Yes he considered Asim like a brother but he was still closer to Sana. Everyone knew this, Asim also knew this and he didn't like Sana being preferred over him.

And Sana came to Sid to fix things between them multiple times. Asim didn't( which is perfectly fine, that's his choice).

Just because Sid is closer to sana you can't say he wasn't genuine with Asim.

Asim was only concerned for sid as he had decoded sana's game . He didn't want sid to get hurt as he knew sid was also close to sana. Now also if you see, sana has no angle without sid. She wasn't seen when sid went to SR. So it's quite clear that she's stuck with sid because of their popularity and is using him to get through the finale. Whereas if you see ,from sid's side it is relatively genuine if he chose sana over asim. Asim was right about her. Sid is going to get hurt in teh end that's what he didn't want in the first place.

Asim also never really tried to go back to him because he understood how he was treating him. See since Asim started going against Sid, he had gained so many fans. Viewers wanted to see a strong Asim. Sana is so besharam that she goes back to him no matter how he treats her. In short I think Sid just wants people to lick his ass.

Asim don’t need sid...it’s good riddance. Sid like like people around him follow him blind,y and support him even when he is wrong. He is mad cow.

Sid knows how sana is. Sid knows this since a long time. He even told this to Asim that he knows how sana is and just let it be.

Sana's game is a whole different story just talking from Sid's perspective atm.

Sid has always put sana over the rest even Arti who has been the most loyal to him. Because he's closer to sana irrespective of how she behaves (unfortunately 😆).

The fight between Sid and Asim was also very ugly it's impossible that the two could ever become friends like before specially when neither apologised or wanted to fix things. The friendship was genuine but it ended mutually.

I still feel that the Sid Asim bond was genuine from both sides. But Sid likes his friendships a different way.

Asim even after their initial fights didn’t want to let go of Sid, but Sid by then had too much ego to accept Asim back on equal terms.

Now Sid hates him, he can’t fathom how this guy has become popular and Asim’s Friendship with Rashmi is the biggest thorn for Sid.

Anyway- I think it’s for the best.

For me the bond of sidsim will always be my favorite in the show before the first finale. But I think it’s good that these guys aren’t friends anymore and there’s no possibility of it at all now.
