The info on Sree's 7 weeks fixed contract is out in the open for long. Today, Romil's statement made us aware of Dipika's 10 weeks fixed contract as well.
Why did Colors not learn from it's past mistake of fixed amount/duration contract with Rimi Sen?
It is but obvious that if participants are very much aware that they have a binding contract with the channel and therefore they cannot be evicted on any basis, why will they have any motivation to put in efforts in tasks, forming cordial relationships with others to escape nominations, etc. ?
Till Sree had his fixed contract, he kept on repeating 'Colors, plz evict me' on the slightest provocation. He used all sorts of excuses to not participate in any task and just kept on abusing others, knowing fully well that he wouldn't be called out on his behaviour. Once the 7 weeks duration got over, Sree miraculously got interested in winning and participation, which he attributed last weekend to Dipika &Salman's encouragement but was actually just a case of the surety of his continued stay getting over.
Same goes for Dipika - Since initial days, all she was interested in was looking after the other fixed contract participant - Sree. She did not even try to forge any other bond and remained complacent, not being vocal about any BB12 issue. Since she was not even concerned about what was happening in the house, she hardly had a reason to raise her voice, her role was confined to defending and mothering Sree and was thereby called a dignified lady. No other aspect of her personality was being revealed.
All of a sudden since the last 2-3 weeks, she has started criticizing brutally all remaining participants, has started screaming,demeaning others and being very vocal about tiniest issue. She has even started speaking a bit against Sree's behaviour which she never once did earlier. This is again because she is now aware that there are some chances of eviction if she no longer performs. Unfortunately, it is much too late to start changing your game and show a difference in personality and has therefore been looking suspicious since last many days.
The fixed contracts have been the main reason behind Colors manipulation and rigged nominations/evictions as well. This was the sole reason for Sree being sent to secret room and Neha being so unfairly evicted. This was why Dipika was so sure that Sree will return, after having taken his name for elimination - the ensuing saga was pure drama!
Since Colors could not evict them, they also accorded them maximum footage to get the most out of their money. The duo's Behen-bhai jaap, along with Sree's remorse on his past was literally shoved down our throats as there was no other angle to show and no other achievement of theirs in the house to highlight. Due to this, the lighter and humorous moments of other participants, including their dance or singing, were confined to Voot. All this duo had to offer was repeated monotony of Sree abusing and Dipika defending - still this was shown over much better content possible. This became the primary reason for both becoming chief contenders of BB12 trophy even after having contributed least.
In this entire fiasco, loss has been us viewers' as well as that of Colors as this turned out to be the most boring and failure of a season.
