There is a reason why they told Deepak to give the toy to the Jin. KV is not going to get the toy back. And Shoaib is an adult, he'll understand. But Bella is a kid for whom the pink puppy was really special. So KV's sacrifice was the toughest.

Regarding Deepika, I would have understood if she would have appealed to KV's emotions and said she cant destroy the jacket. But she chose to say it in the most vindictive way possible. Just when I start liking Deepika, she does something like this.
