If Vijay TV have already decided couple of contestants as winners, what will they get out of that?
I think they way they manipulate is for TRP, things like oviya and the guy in love one week, next week not/ next week friends - these might have been based on some input from tv. Julie sri is what they would have thought.
To an extent, even Julie's open talk against arthi might have been with some direction.
As we saw in the foregoing, in the contemporary society people are increasingly aware of being observed, recorded and archived and consequently there is an increase in the anxiety to present an admirable persona for the sight of the observing agencies. Such a preoccupation is making people observe themselves and their peers too in terms of how their personalities appear in the public domain, in the eyes of others. Public figures, political figures, sportsmen etc. too are evaluated not just in terms of how they fare in their professions but also in terms of how their personalities fare in the gaze of the people and agencies that evaluate their personalities. It is not enough for a cricket captain to give his best in the field; he must now also learn to handle his media image. Any slipshod interview in which he appears insincere or less committed might damage his reputation. A keen performance in the field thus also ought to be complemented by a good performance in the media to convince an evaluating public that the national team is being lead by dedicated skipper. Public image thus appears to get a life of its own detached from a person's actions in the real life.
The success of a reality show like Big Boss, with its focalization upon how individuals behave/perform in the eyes of their peers must be seen in the light of this newfound anxiety to manage one public image. The characters are evaluated and discussed by the public, compared with the each other and also with oneself. How would I have managed the situation if I was thrown in the same situation? The kernel seems to be that despite knowing full well that all the characters are bluffing and playacting to ensure their own survival and the elimination of the rest, we still take interest in how they are faking their sincerity. In other words the focus of the contemporary viewers has shifted from who is right and who is wrong; that all will be bluffing and faking is taken for granted and hence does not arouse interest. The real interest is concentrated upon how the different characters manage their guile, i.e. how efficiently they hide their ruthless pursuit of success and cold calculation and are able to maintain calm, genteel and sincere exterior selves. Management of a likable self seems that have become an end in itself detached from the real concerns about whether our conduct in ethically correct or not. Is not this a representation of what we go through in our own daily lives? At the office I need to grind to dust all my colleagues to move ahead, but at the same time I cannot let anybody know of my real intentions. Like in the Big Boss, one's real intention (which is to eliminate everybody else) cannot be stated openly. Despite the fact that all the contestants know that the intention of all the participants is the same, to eliminate the rest, nobody would say this openly as doing so would ensure immediate expulsion of that person by the rest of the contestants who would vote him/her out. To reveal one's true intention is to invite defeat. Even though everyone else knows about each others' true intentions, it must remain hidden, beneath the surface/public image, for the game to continue. Is not there a parallel between this set up and of our quotidian experiences, for instance at the workplace? At office everyone intends to pull the rest down and survive to move ahead. But despite this being an open secret I cannot reveal my true intentions to my colleagues because the moment I tell them that I my real desire is to kick the asses of all of them and get a promotion, the competition is over for me. My colleagues, the boss and all the rest in the office would get together and throw me out for not having a good working spirit. And when I am thrown out of the office, what I would be punished for really is not my intention to beat the rest to get a promotion. After I am thrown out, it is possible, very likely even, that my colleague would someday meet up and say, "of course to beat others to move ahead is the real intention of all of us, but who says it openly? The guy was really stupid to have said so openly. Because like Big Boss' in the real life too, for the game to continue, our real intentions must remain hidden, for our survival in the game, what lies inside our heads is immaterial, what really matters is how well we manage our public images.
The below is my answer to your question
Ok i am making it more precise so that everyone could understand clearly. Big boss runs for money and trps. When they take auditions they might have some plans in their mind that this particular person has calibure to initiate fights , give masala hence trps and more money as people talk about that subject and incident again and again and make it a big topic of discussion. Sometimes it works and many times it backfires so depending upon the first two weeks psychologists analyse the character of the person by watching them in live update. Using their advice the channel keep their target on 2-3 persons are their winners whom they want public to see as winners not the ones public chooses over votes. Remember we are only the pawns , the players are channel production house and creatives. Using a psychologist they can easily understand how a person performs in one situation / responds to that situation / reacts to that situation and that is what precisely they need. They will always choose the person who will be beneficial to channel and who gets more profit to the channel also good name to the channel. For me so far i can keep my bets on for oviya and Julie till the wild card comes. Also remember one more thing , wildcard may change the dynamics of the show but they won't longlast. I mean to say no wildcard will win the show at any cost . there may be chances that wild card may reach finale. So the person who remained in bb house from the beginning will only win the title.
If oviya wins
She is from kerala , she will work wholeheartedly for vijay and its shows but her first priority will be movies than tv shows.. moreover she is not dying for fame. She is outspoken.
But if Julie wins
She is dying for fame and for that fame she will do anything. She doesn't possess brains of her own. She can go to any extent to win money. She will always be obliged to vijay tv. Whenever the channel needs her , they can use her for anything. Another concept is a girl winning a title proving a point " from rags to riches "
I always hate vijay tv for portraying shivakrthikeyan like that.they used him and his success till now and he has always been obliged to them so basically they want an adimai.
Vijay tv's first priority could be Julie and second one could be oviya is my guess. They can't choose other persons as they are influential to some extent and moreover they have to justify whoever the winner is . I mean that person is perfect for winning that title.
P.S.: LOVELY EDITS.โค๏ธ HUGS TO THE PERSON WHO MADE IT๐ค๐ค
Many people may think bb works on votes and the pubic decisions. But its not , when the makers have pre-decided whom to make the winner of the season from that moment onwards they do everything possible to keep that person in limelight and make that person win by hook or crook. Thats the only reason i have always been hating many seasons of bb English and hindi versions where many undeserved contestants won.๐ฅฑ

BB at the end of the day is a reality show and is driven by TRP. Some part of the show is probably scripted or at least the contestants are given hints about how they should behave. The smarter ones understand, the less smarter ones continue doing what they do and get eliminated.
Not everything is shown to us for ex.. aarav was angry with namitha calling him watchman today but we do not know if she said that in jest for fun or to insult aarav. All that is shown is aarav feels he has been insulted. Depending on our likes/dislikes we would choose to believe/take it with a pinch of salt. However certain things are difficult to script and we are shown true characters at those times. At the end if the day, BB is about getting the contestants to react and then the audience to react to that reaction. ๐ the marketing team will keep tabs on the trp and try to manage situations based on that. I don't think the team has a fixed agenda. They are probably changing scripts based on what happens and the reaction.

Its not scripted at all IMO from the seasons i have watched i have observed that. They are pushed to an extreme where they do things which basically channel and creatives want. And yes there are hints thrown here and there by host and the guests who come and visit them at home for their movie promotion or for some festive ocassions.๐ณ
