I like the character of Sita - she embodies a strong woman. She faced all hardships and in the end refused to bow down to the societal pressures and instead chose to leave earth. She raised her sons on her own without her husband -she didn't require the crutches of a man to live her life as a mother. I sympathise with Lord Ram for he had to live as a king in order to create the so called ideal world- he had to live alone without the love of his life because he had to be the king for his people
Sometimes I feel that as women feel the pressure so do men because even society has them bound in certain stereotypical rules which are as suffocating as the rules for women
