Sussanne Khan's mother Zarine, who is also an interior designer, has refuted reports about her daughter tying the knot again. The news had gone viral yesterday and the family has been getting umpteen number of calls to know the truth. The headlines screamed: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife Sussanne Khan is all set to marry again.

Said Zarine, "There is not an iota of truth in this news, my daughter is not getting married. There is no man in her life. We don't know, who, time and again keeps spreading these rumours. We are in a very sad state wherein we can't say yes or no. It is a sad place to be in this film industry. When we try to say something, something more gets splashed all over. Now we just want to keep quiet."

Zarine continued, "Sussanne is working very hard. She is happy with her life. She is bringing up her two kids single-handedly."

However the divorce had no bearing on the bond that Zarine shared with her son-in-law, Hrithik. When asked if the family was still on good terms with Hrithik, Zarine replied, "We are all very compatible. We meet up. After all Hrithik is the father of my grand children."

Hrithik and Sussanne tied the knot in December 2000 and the two filed for divorce by mutual consent in May 2014. A family court finalised their divorce in November 2014. At the time of her divorce it was reported that the actor's friend and Arjun Rampal was the main reason behind the couple's split. But Arjun has time and again refuted such rumours and has asserted that all is well between him and his wife and former supermodel Mehr Jessia.

Since some of the rumoured reports yesterday suggested that Sussanne will soon marry Hrithik's close friend, who was also responsible for their separation, Arjun got into the act soon and posted a tweet saying : Games people play, arises from their own insecurities. I just wish them a lot of self confidence. Hopefully they forgive themselves soon.Peace.'

Of late, at multiple media events, actor Alia Bhatt has come out strongly in defence of her co-star, actor Shahid Kapoor. The two are working in two films. Whenever he has been at the receiving end of any uncomfortable question regarding his marriage, Alia came through, and dodged them for him.

Ask Alia why she does that, and she says, "Yes, I have done it a few times. In fact, I had also said (at one of the events), If anyone asks Shahid one more time about his marriage, I will stand up, and slap (that person) across the face (laughs)'."

On a lighter note, Alia says that after shielding Shahid on so many occasions, she is ready to be his official bodyguard now. "I think I'm ready to be Shahid's bodyguard (laughs). So (it can be like) Bodyguard (2011) part two (in real life)," says the actor. But to play the role of a bodyguard, she would have to work hard on her petite physique, right? On the contrary, she says, "Everyone would be under the assumption that they shouldn't be scared (of me), but then, I will fight so well that they will end up getting scared."
