Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

title: The world closes doors on Chittod & Ajabdeh asks for the Jauhar keys

btw, I know most of you have read the promises that I have made for Chittod seize's brave souls, but just in case you have not seen the post here it is- https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/bharat-ka-veer-putra-maharana-pratap/4352269/promises-for-chittod-seizes-brave-souls - it used to be a sticky but I dont know why it was removed!!

so we were waiting for a praja scene, and today we get one! we get another hug! Pratap is so happy to see her!

AS has been left with DB, DB is surprised that she is leaving him with her with all that she did! Ajabdeh says that if I see the good, good will happen, so how can I see the bad in you in this time of great sankat!

DB gives the keys of the mahal- no matter how big a man becomes the keys to his home, his fort, his palace will be kept by the his wife or the women of the household!

its a shame that mewar's royal documents dont show the women's contribution during the war!

Where are the keys to the jauhar room- I got goosebumps when AJabdeh asked for them! we see the fbs of Maharani Karnavati's jauhar! my respect and salute to them! I felt such pride when she asked for them, and when DB said you wont need them, she is right, AJabdeh wont need them but the others will!

Years ago, her mother in law, JB had prepared for a jauhar without fear and the time has come for Ajabdeh to take the responsibility for that tradition if the time comes!

DB finally gives the jauhar room keys- such a sad day when a mother-in law gives her daugher in law the keys to the jauhar room, but its a moment of pride because she is passing on the tradition of honour and self-respect alive!

we see that akbar's army just keeps growing!

Chittor's fort is huge, has one of the longest fort walls in Asia! And to man such a fort is the big undertaking! Those of us who have been there, know how big that fort is, and its only the brave men and women of that fort that kept the fort in their control for that long! Salute to them!

Pratap was waiting for US and the family to get far away as possible, and thats why they waited 20 days till they closed the last gate of the fort! smart move but now Pratap has announced that the last fort door be closed, isolating them forever!

Why did I say that the world closes its doors on CHittod- because mewar was the lone kingdom who put up an endless fight against mughal aggression! no other kingdom was willing to help them, such a pity! When Hitler marched over to Alsace-Lurene region, the world just turned a blind eye and let them have it, they closed their doors to that region, they closed the doors to all the people who were sent to concentration camps to die! This is not as extreme but you get the similarity of the situation, Im not calling akbar, hitler, but when men of power get power hungry they all sort of look the same and sound the same!

Akbar finds out that the royal family is gone but he knows that Pratap is still there; he just wants to surround the fort and capture the royal family so that Pratap will leave the fort!

Akbar also talks of the vastness of the fort, its huge, I was there many years ago and I didnt get to see all of it, you have to put in at least a few days to see that fort in detail!

the fort is kind of ruined thanks to war and akbar because he left it in ruin as a lesson to all who stood up to his authority! shame on him!

precap- akbar sends soldiers to find US and AS is spotted by the mughals, how the heck did they get to them so quickly!

I liked today's episode, especially the first half!

Nice analysis Rati. :)

So we know how Pratap will leave the Fort now.
Hope CV's show Akbar sending his armies to other parts of Mewar too.!

BTW, Let me tell, women are said to have surpassed the Grecian dame in the Mewar records. They have found their due place in the documents. :)

I can see you feel a lot for those people who perished in this battle and sacrificed their lives, and the disappointment with Akbar. Even i have same sentiments. Reading about this war makes one feel a lot for the plight of those people "trapped" in the fort. But we have to see the actual siege yet. Let us fasten our seat belts.

ok so there is a place for them in the documents, do they mention names?

yes the people of the fort were trapped and thats the worst feeling in the world when it comes to war!

and thanks for the other historical threads you started!

Rati!!🤗🤗 How are you my dear?
Really a great episode.😊I'm sorry i couldn't keep my promise yesterday.I was almost in tears when ajabde asked for the jauhar keys and poor AS ,felt so bad for him.😭
And cv's have made akbar look so bad.He was ruthless indeed but not so cruel yaar!😲
And the parallel you drew with hitler,i have read about it in my class 12th english book. There was a short story called 'the last lesson'.
Anyways, now the story is progressing but where are patta and hakim??😕 Also, where is baijilal?I really hope cv's don't ruin everything like this.😔

Yesterday's epi was a good one really after the drag we were seeing with Akbar talking to his own hallucinations I find it so good.
The scene with the women was so good and I glimpsed the strong Ajabde who supported her husband in all difficult times and was there for him
The Jauhar flashback - gave me goosebumps
What I'm confused about is DB's character doing this 180 degree change - she accepts all of her faults and schemes and plots against Praja that too openly
I wonder how they will show JM's succession to the throne

Praja scenes: We got Praja scenes and hug as well - haaye jab romance dikhaana tha tab attitude dikhaya and ab jaake thode se moments de rahe hain...waise I felt the hug was little forced

Forget Pratap - Amar Singh is my new fav in the show - no one can come anywhere near this kid - look at the mirage of emotions he displayed...I felt so bad for him

I read your post on the promises Rati and I didn't comment because I'm afraid that unknowingly I might break them but yesterday I persevered and though it was a little moving it was just the beginning of the end for Chittor and we will see many more episodes like this and I will do my best to persevere

Thanks for the analysis Rati - have a good week

Thanks for the analysis rati...yesterday epi was pretty good. ..loved the scene between db n ajabde...db really confounds me...all of a sudden she has bcum white, how I wonder. ...akbar letting his generals know about his strategy was gud but I just don't like his pratap fixation. ..the seige it appears has already started. ..am waiting now for the decisive action. ..n I truly hope the makers do justice to it n the resultant jauhar-saka...

Hey Rati thanks for the lovely update. World closes its door is a telling point. Maybe that is why Akbar finished others first.
